Your day
Morning anchor
One thing that starts the day the same way
- A glass of warm water before anything else
- Open a window and take five slow breaths
- Tongue cleaning, then water
Autumn: Structure midday carefully, as the sun is often still strong during Sharad. Eat your main meal when hunger is clear but avoid waiting until you are overly hungry or irritable. Protect yourself from excessive midday sun. Take brief breaks from intense mental work. If possible, spend a few moments in natural shade or near water, as these are traditionally considered cooling for Pitta.
Ayurveda treats a predictable start as steadying in itself. What the first act is matters less than that it repeats.
Four anchors
The aim is not to perfect all four. One that holds is enough.
- Morning anchor One thing that starts the day the same way
- Meal rhythm Your main meal at roughly the same hour Mung Dal + Ghee · the week
- Movement break A short break in the longest sitting stretch
- Evening wind-down One signal that the day is closing
