Lord Shani represents Karma, discipline, and justice. When Saturn afflicts through Sade Sati (7.5 year transit) or Dhaiya (2.5 year transit), classical scriptures prescribe acts of selfless service (Seva), charity of iron and black sesame, lighting mustard lamps under Peepal trees, and sincere recitation of the Dasharatha Shani Stotra.
On Saturday morning, take an iron or bronze bowl, fill it with pure mustard oil, look at your reflection (Chhaya) in the oil for 1 minute with a prayer for forgiveness, and donate the bowl with oil to a needy person or Shani temple. This symbolically absorbs malefic shadow afflictions.
The source mentions leaving Jupiter, Sun and Moon articles in forest; today use eco-safe symbolic offerings or donate the items.
Offer rice and almonds into clean flowing water.
Keep the roof clean and free from junk, especially for Saturn-Rahu linked issues.
If Saturn and Rahu are in the 9th, avoid alcohol because the source says both planets can be spoiled by it.
When Saturn is weak in the 10th, first support Jupiter through clean donation, elder respect or saffron/gram-related guidance.
Respect people, workers and elders; the source treats respect as a Saturn remedy here.
