Classical Prashna Principles, Chart Casting & Instant Divination Mechanics
Featured Overview: Pravasa & Gamana Prashna (Missing Person & Safe Return) Horary Astrology provides precise, instantaneous astrological divination through classical Jyotish Prashna Tantra. By evaluating the planetary interplay between Lagnesha (Family) & 7th/9th Lord (Traveler / Missing Individual) across 1st House (Home/Inquirer) and 7th House (The Person Abroad), astrologers decode whether the query manifests successfully, faces unexpected delays, or demands tactical mitigation. Classical Tajika yogas and Arudha Lagna provide unambiguous yes-or-no clarity.

— Prashna Tantra (Adhyaya 3: Pravasi Nirnaya) & Prasna Marga
In the profound realm of classical Jyotish Prashna Shastra (Horary Astrology), a chart is cast for the precise astronomical moment an intense, sincere question arises in the seeker’s consciousness. Unlike natal astrology which charts a lifetime’s karma, Pravasa & Gamana Prashna (Missing Person & Safe Return) Horary Astrology captures the immediate cosmic snapshot of this specific crisis or endeavor. By synthesizing the Lagnesha (ruler of the querent), the Karyesha (significator of the matter), and the luminaries, the divination reveals both the root obstacle and the final outcome.
Core Planetary Mechanics & The House Axis
Pravasa Prashna assesses the safety, health, and return timeline of individuals who have gone missing or traveled far away. Benefics in the 4th house and an applying aspect between the Moon and the 7th lord confirm the traveler is safe and will return home safely.
| Horary Parameter | Classical Rule | Manifestation Signification |
|---|---|---|
| Governing Planetary Actors | Lagnesha (Family) & 7th/9th Lord (Traveler / Missing Individual) | Dictates querent agency and objective realization |
| Primary House Axis | 1st House (Home/Inquirer) and 7th House (The Person Abroad) | Establishes the energetic arena of inquiry |
| Tajika Yoga Verdict | A strong 4th house and retrograde 7th lord bring the missing individual home safely. | Defines whether the matter fulfills or separates |
| Kala Nirnaya Timing | Retrograde motion of the 7th lord indicates immediate return within hours or days. | Calculates the temporal horizon for event culmination |
Ithasala, Muthasila & Tajika Aspect Calculations
The linchpin of Prashna Tantra is the Ithasala Yoga (Muthasila), where a faster-moving planet with lower degrees applies toward a slower-moving planet within their mutual orb of influence (Deeptamsha). When Lagnesha (Family) & 7th/9th Lord (Traveler / Missing Individual) form a clean Ithasala without the interference of a malefic cutter (Ishrafa or Musaripha), the desired event materializes with mathematical certainty. If a third faster planet intervenes, it creates a Nakta or Yamaya yoga, indicating mediation or external rescue.
Temporal Horizons: Determining Event Timing (Kala Nirnaya)
To determine when the queried matter manifests, examine the degree difference between the Lagnesha and Karyesha and the modality of the signs they occupy. Chara (movable) signs accelerate fulfillment into hours or days, Dvisvabhava (dual) signs denote moderate weeks, and Sthira (fixed) signs indicate prolonged months. Combined with Navamsha confirmations, Kala Nirnaya provides the querent with an actionable deadline.
