मत करो चिन्ता कोई, हरि करेंगे वो होई।
जब आवे सन्तोष धन, तब दुःख रहे न कोई॥
जिनको ब्रह्मा लिख दे माथे, मेटन हारो कोई।
कर्म रेख के अनुसार चलत है, जगत देखता सोई॥
धीरज धरम दया में रहिये, बाकी ईश्वर का खेला।
सूरदास कहें हरि को भजिये, सुख दुख सब का मेला॥

Mat karo chinta koi, Hari karenge wo hoi,
Jab aave santosh dhan, tab dukh rahe na koi.
Jinko Brahma likh de maathe, metan haaro koi,
Karm rekh ke anusaar chalat hai, jagat dekhta soi.
Dheeraj dharam daya mein rahiye, baaki Ishwar ka khela,
Surdas kahen Hari ko bhajiye, sukh dukh sab ka mela.
Surdas says do not worry — whatever Lord Hari wills, that alone shall happen. When the wealth of contentment arrives, no sorrow can remain. What Brahma has written on one’s forehead cannot be erased by anyone. The world moves according to the lines of karma. One should remain in patience, righteousness, and compassion — the rest is God’s play. Surdas advises to worship Lord Hari, for life is a mixture of joy and sorrow.
