म्हारा रे गिरिधर गोपाल बालम, और कोई नहीं।
ताके जोवूँ बाट नजरिया, रैन न सोवूँ नहीं॥
जब से तुमने छोड़ो म्हारो हाथ, तब से रोवूँ नहीं।
प्रेम गली अति सांकरी जा में, दो न समाहीं नहीं॥
खान पान की सुध बिसराई, और कुछ भावत नहीं।

Mhara re Giridhar Gopal baalam, aur koi nahin,
Take jovun baat najariya, rain na sovun nahin.
Jab se tumne chhodo mharo haath, tab se rovun nahin,
Prem gali ati saankari ja mein, do na samahin nahin.
Khan paan ki sudh bisraai, aur kuch bhavat nahin,
Meera ke Prabhu Giridhar Nagar, tum bin koi nahin.
Meera declares that Giridhar Gopal is her only beloved — there is no one else. She watches the path with eager eyes, sleepless through the nights. Since He held her hand, she has stopped weeping — the lane of love is so narrow that two cannot fit there (only the lover and the beloved).
