Human psychology is wonderfully diverse: some individuals are naturally driven by dynamic physical action; others feel life most deeply through heartfelt emotional devotion; analytical minds seek rigorous intellectual truth; while introspective souls gravitate toward silent meditation. Recognizing that no single spiritual path can suit every temperament, Sanatan Dharma formulated the Four Classical Paths of Yoga: Karma Yoga (The Yoga of Selfless Action), Bhakti Yoga (The Yoga of Devotion & Love), Jnana Yoga (The Yoga of Wisdom & Inquiry), and Raja Yoga (The Yoga of Meditation & Willpower). Popularized globally by Swami Vivekananda, these four streams are not mutually exclusive rivals, but complementary tributaries converging into the ocean of Self-realization. The Kriyasya Yoga Paths Studio helps you discover your dominant spiritual archetype.

The Four Universal Streams of Yoga

  • Karma Yoga (For the Active Temperament): Transmuting daily work into worship by surrendering attachment to the fruits of action (*Nishkama Karma*). Eliminates ego and purifies the subconscious mind.
  • Bhakti Yoga (For the Emotional Temperament): Directing the natural human capacity for love, passion, and longing toward the Supreme Divinity through Kirtan, prayer, japa, and unconditional surrender (Prapatti).
  • Jnana Yoga (For the Analytical Temperament): The path of discrimination (*Viveka*) and dispassion (*Vairagya*). Utilizing the inquiry *’Neti, Neti’* (Not this, not this) and *’Who am I?’* to pierce through maya and realize the immortal Atman.
  • Raja Yoga (For the Introspective Temperament): The royal path of classical mind control, mastering the Ashtanga eight limbs, breath locks, and Samadhi absorption.
