Ek fakira aaya, jholi mein bahut duayen laya,
Maine poocha tere paas kya hai, usne mere sapne lautaye.
Ek fakira aaya, duniya ki thokar khaaya,
Phir bhi chehre pe muskaan, Prabhu ka prem dikhaya.
Na koi ghar na koi thaur, na maal na dhan khazana,
Bas ek naam hai uske paas, wo hai Prabhu ka deewana.
Ek fakira aaya, sabko yahi bataya,
Duniya to jhoota mela hai, bas sach hai Prabhu ka saaya.
A fakir (holy wanderer) arrived, carrying many blessings in his bag. When asked what he possessed, he returned my lost dreams. This fakir was kicked by the world, yet a smile remained on his face — showing God’s love. He has no home, no place, no wealth or treasure — only God’s name. He is simply God’s madman.
