गुरु गिरा अरु गणपति, पुनि विनवऊँ हनुमान ।
सालासर के देवता, सदा करो कल्याण ।।
लाल देह की लालिमा, मूर्ति लाल ललाम ।
हाथ जोड विनति करुँ, पुरवहु सबके काम।।

जय जय जय सालासर धामा । पावन रुचिर लोक अभिरामा ।।
जिमि पावन मथुरा अरु कासी । पुष्कर कुरुक्षेत्रं सुखरासी।।
अवधपुरि, गंगे हरिद्वारा । सालासर शुभ वरणु विचारा ।।
राजस्थान सीकर नियराये । लछमनगढ़ नगर मन भाये।।
तेहि नियर सालासर ग्रामा । सकल भान्ति शुभ शुचि सुखधामा ।।
सिद्धपीठ यह परम पुनीता । हनुमद् दर्शन सब दुख बीता।।
ताते विनय करौं सुनु भाई । भजहुं पवनसुत सुमति पाई ।।
सालासर हनुमत जिमि आवा । कहुं सकल सुनु मन समुझावा।।
मोहनदास विप्र सब जाना । भगति भाव गुण ज्ञान निधाना ।।
उदय संग ले खेत कमाये । एक बार हनुमद् तहं आये।।
कह कपि विप्र सुनो मम बानी । कीजे ध्यान भगति जिय जानी ।।
सब तजि मोहन विप्र विचार । हनुमत भजन सदा सुखकारी।।
करइ भजन भगति अरू ध्याना । नित्य होई मिलन हनुमाना ।।
आसोटा मूर्ति प्रगटाये । लै ठाकुर सालासर आये।।
विक्रम अष्टादस शत् ग्यारह । आयऊ हनुमद् रवि जिमि बारह ।।
श्रावण सित नवमी शनिवारा । थायन योग भूमि असवारा।।
मोहन पूजन हवन कराई । कपि मूरति थापी सुखदाई ।।
आरति मोहन मंगल गावा । ढोल नगारा शबद सुहावा ।।
चढे़ चूरमा भोग लगाय । भजन कीर्तन सब मिल गाये ।।
एक बार मोहन मन भाई । भई प्रेरणा मूर्त सजाई।।
चित्र रचा जो मन सुखदाई । भये प्रसन्न हनुमत् कपिराई ।।
घृत सिन्दूर थाल भर लीना । मूरत लाल ललित कर दीना।।
मोहन बोले उदय बुलाई । हनुमद कहं अवराधौ आई ।।
सेवहुं हनुमद् लग्न लगाई । नित प्रति भगति बढ़ै सवाई।।
सालासर जयकार सुहाई । चहुँदिशि घंटा धुनि मन भाई ।।
दिन दिन हो मंदिर विस्तारा । पूजा करे उदय परिवारा।।
मंगल पूनम जो मन भाये । सालासर शुभ दर्शन पाये ।।
ध्वजा नारियल आन चढ़ाये । खाण्ड चूरमा भोग लगाये।।
हनुमत भजन करइ मन लाई । सालासर हनुमान मनाई ।।
एहिविधि आई धोक लगाये । मन इच्छा फल सब जन पाये।।
आत्म ज्ञान बढ़े नित नाया । जब ते होये हनुमत दाया ।।
सब विध कष्ट विकार हटावे । सालासर शरणा जो जावे।।
चिन्ता सांपिनी ताको भाज । जाके हिय में हनुमत राजे ।।
हनुमत दर्शन अति मन भाई । लाल देह छवि कहि नहिं जाई।।
दूर दूर ते लोग लुगाई । बड़े भाग ते दर्शन पाई ।।
करहि सफल सब निज निज लोचन । करि करि दर्शन संकट मोचन।।
हनुमत महिमा चहुँदिशि गाजे । सालासर हनुमान विराजे ।।
सालासर शुभधाम भजामी । जय जय जय बजरंग नमामी।।
“इन्द्रजीत” कपिराई सहाई । सालासर महिमा जो गाई ।।
सालासर हनुमत चालीसा । पढ़े सुने शुभ करे कपीसा।।

चालीसा शुभधाम का, गाये जो चितलाय।
‘इन्द्रजीत’ भगति बढ़े, दया करें कपिराय।।

Salasar ke devata, sada karo kalyaan.

Jai jai jai Salasar dhaama. Paavan ruchir lok abhiraama.
Jimi paavan Mathura aru Kaasi. Pushkar Kurukshetram sukhraasi.
Avadhapuri, Gange Haridwaara. Salasar shubh varanu vichaara.
Rajasthan Sikar niyaraaye. Lachhmangarh nagar man bhaaye.
Tehi niyar Salasar graama. Sakal bhaanti shubh shuchi sukhdhaama.
Siddhapeeth yah param puneeta. Hanumad darshan sab dukh beeta.
Taate vinay karaun sunu bhaai. Bhajahun Pawansut sumati paai.
Salasar Hanumat jimi aava. Kahun sakal sunu man samujhaava.
Mohandas vipra sab jaana. Bhagati bhaav gun gyaan nidhaana.
Uday sang le khet kamaaye. Ek baar Hanumad taha aayee.
Kah kapi vipra suno mam baani. Keeje dhyaan bhagati jiya jaani.
Sab taji Mohan vipra vichaar. Hanumat bhajan sada sukhkaari.
Karai bhajan bhagati aru dhyaana. Nitya hoi milan Hanumaana.
Aasota moorti pragataaye. Lai Thakur Salasar aaye.
Vikram ashtaadas shat gyaarah. Aayau Hanumad ravi jimi baarah.
Shravan sit navami shanivaara. Thaayan yog bhoomi asavaara.
Mohan poojan havan karaai. Kapi moorati thaapi sukhdaai.
Aarati Mohan mangal gaava. Dhol nagaara shabad suhaava.
Chadhe choorma bhog lagaay. Bhajan keertan sab mil gaaye.
Ek baar Mohan man bhaai. Bhai prerna moort sajaai.
Chitra racha jo man sukhdaai. Bhaye prasann Hanumat kapiraai.
Ghrit sindoor thaal bhar leena. Moorat laal lalit kar deena.
Mohan bole Uday bulaai. Hanumad kahan avaraadhau aai.
Sevahun Hanumad lagn lagaai. Nit prati bhagati badhai savaai.
Salasar jaikaar suhaai. Chahundishi ghanta dhuni man bhaai.
Din din ho mandir vistaara. Pooja kare Uday parivaara.
Mangal poonam jo man bhaaye. Salasar shubh darshan paaye.
Dhwaja naariyal aan chadhaaye. Khaand choorma bhog lagaaye.
Hanumat bhajan karai man laai. Salasar Hanuman manaai.
Ehi-vidhi aai dhok lagaaye. Man ichchha phal sab jan paaye.
Aatm gyaan badhe nit naaya. Jab te hoye Hanumat daaya.
Sab vidh kasht vikaar hataave. Salasar sharana jo jaave.
Chinta saampini taako bhaaj. Jaake hiy mein Hanumat raaje.
Hanumat darshan ati man bhaai. Laal deh chhavi kahi nahin jaai.
Door door te log lugaai. Bade bhaag te darshan paai.
Karahi safal sab nij nij lochan. Kari kari darshan sankat mochan.
Hanumat mahima chahundishi gaaje. Salasar Hanuman viraaje.
Salasar shubhdhaam bhajaami. Jai jai jai Bajarang namaami.
"Indrajeet" kapiraai sahaai. Salasar mahima jo gaai.
Salasar Hanumat chalisa. Padhe sune shubh kare kapeesa.
Chalisa shubhdhaam ka, gaaye jo chitlaay.
'Indrajeet' bhagati badhe, daya karein kapiraay.

I bow to the words of the Guru, Lord Ganesha, and then I humbly pray to Lord Hanuman.
O Deity of Salasar, always bestow welfare and blessings upon us.
The radiant redness of Your red body, Your idol is beautifully red.
With folded hands, I request You, please accomplish the tasks of everyone.
Glory, glory, glory to the divine abode of Salasar. A holy, beautiful, and mind-pleasing realm.
Just like the holy cities of Mathura and Kashi. Like Pushkar and Kurukshetra, the heap of joy.
Like Ayodhya, the Ganges, and Haridwar. Salasar is considered an equally auspicious choice.
It is located near Sikar in Rajasthan. The nearby town of Lachhmangarh pleases the mind.
Near to it is the village of Salasar. In every way an auspicious, pure, and happy abode.
Therefore, I request you, listen O brother. Worship the Son of the Wind (Hanuman) and attain good intellect.
How Hanuman arrived in Salasar. I narrate it all, listen and understand it in your heart.
A Brahmin named Mohandas knew everything. He was a treasure trove of devotion, emotion, virtue, and knowledge.
Taking Uday along, he worked in the fields. Once, Lord Hanuman came there.
The Monkey Lord said, "O Brahmin, listen to my words. Meditate and embrace true devotion in your heart."
Leaving all worldly things, Mohandas the Brahmin thought, worshipping Hanuman is always the source of joy.
He constantly performed worship, devotion, and meditation. He had a daily divine meeting with Hanuman.
An idol manifested in the village of Asota. The local Thakur (ruler) brought it to Salasar.
In the Vikram Samvat year 1811 (1754 AD). Hanuman arrived there, radiant like twelve suns.
On the bright ninth day of the Shravan month, a Saturday. He established Himself securely on that land.
Mohandas performed the worship and sacred fire (Havan). He established the joy-giving idol of the Monkey Lord.
Mohandas sang the auspicious Aarti. The sound of drums and nagaras was beautiful to hear.
Offering Choorma (a sweet delicacy) as the sacred food (Bhog). Everyone gathered and sang hymns and kirtans together.
Once, a thought pleased Mohandas's mind. He received the inspiration to decorate the idol.
He created a beautiful image that gave joy to the mind. Hanuman, the king of monkeys, was highly pleased.
He filled a large plate with ghee and vermilion (sindoor). And made the idol beautifully red and elegant.
Mohandas called Uday and said, "Come and devotedly worship Hanuman here."
"Serve Hanuman with deep dedication. Day by day, your devotion will multiply and increase."
The cheers of Salasar sound beautiful. The sound of ringing bells in all directions pleases the mind.
Day by day the temple expanded. Uday's family performs the daily worship.
Whoever has devotion on Tuesdays and full moons (Poonam). Receives the auspicious darshan (sight) of Salasar.
They bring and offer flags and coconuts. They offer Khand (sugar) and Choorma as Bhog.
They worship Hanuman with a completely focused mind. Pleasing the Lord Hanuman of Salasar.
In this way, whoever comes and bows down here. All such people get the fruits of their mind's desires.
Self-knowledge grows anew every single day. Ever since the grace of Hanuman has been bestowed.
He removes all kinds of hardships and physical/mental disorders. For whoever goes to the refuge of Salasar.
The venomous serpent of worry runs away from them. In whose heart Lord Hanuman resides.
The sight of Hanuman is incredibly pleasing to the mind. The beauty of His radiant red body cannot be fully described.
Men and women travel from far and wide. By great fortune, they obtain His holy darshan.
They make their own eyes successful and blessed. By repeatedly seeing the reliever of crises (Sankat Mochan).
Hanuman's supreme glory echoes in all directions. Lord Hanuman resides powerfully in Salasar.
I constantly worship the auspicious abode of Salasar. Glory, glory, glory, I bow to Bajrangbali.
The Monkey King helps his devotee "Indrajeet". Who sang the magnificent glory of Salasar.
The Salasar Hanuman Chalisa. Whoever reads or listens to it, the Monkey Lord does good and brings auspiciousness for them.
Whoever sings the Chalisa of this auspicious abode with a focused mind.
'Indrajeet' says their devotion increases, and the Monkey King (Hanuman) shows his immense mercy.
Glory to Shri Ram! Glory to Balaji!
अर्थ: सीता और राम की जय हो!
Glory to Sita and Ram!
अर्थ: मैं गुरु की वाणी, भगवान गणपति और फिर हनुमान जी से प्रार्थना करता हूँ।
I humbly pray to the Guru's wisdom, Lord Ganapati, and then to Hanuman.
अर्थ: हे सालासर के देवता (हनुमान जी), आप सदैव सबका कल्याण करें।
O Deity of Salasar (Lord Hanuman), may you always bestow welfare upon everyone.
अर्थ: (हनुमान जी के) लाल शरीर की आभा और उनकी लाल मूर्ति अत्यंत सुंदर और मनमोहक है।
The radiant glow of (Hanuman's) red body and His red idol are exceedingly beautiful and captivating.
अर्थ: मैं हाथ जोड़कर आपसे विनम्र प्रार्थना करता हूँ कि आप सभी के कार्यों को पूर्ण करें।
With folded hands, I humbly pray to you to fulfill everyone's endeavors.
अर्थ: पवित्र और सुंदर सालासर धाम की जय हो, जो मन को हरने वाला लोक है।
Glory, glory, glory to Salasar Dham, the sacred, beautiful, and enchanting abode.
अर्थ: जैसे पवित्र मथुरा और काशी हैं, पुष्कर और कुरुक्षेत्र सुखों के भंडार हैं।
Just as sacred are Mathura and Kashi, and Pushkar and Kurukshetra are treasuries of joy.
अर्थ: अयोध्यापुरी, गंगा और हरिद्वार के समान ही सालासर भी शुभ और विचारणीय है।
Like Ayodhyapuri, the Ganga, and Haridwar, Salasar is also auspicious and worthy of contemplation.
अर्थ: राजस्थान के सीकर जिले के निकट, लक्ष्मणगढ़ नगर मन को बहुत भाता है।
Near Sikar in Rajasthan, the town of Lachhmangarh is very pleasing to the heart.
अर्थ: उसी के निकट सालासर नामक ग्राम है, जो सभी प्रकार से शुभ, पवित्र और सुखों का धाम है।
Near that place is the village named Salasar, which is auspicious, pure, and an abode of happiness in every way.
अर्थ: यह सिद्धपीठ अत्यंत पवित्र और पावन है। यहाँ श्री हनुमान जी के दर्शन मात्र से सभी प्रकार के दुःख और कष्ट समाप्त हो जाते हैं।
This Siddha Peeth (place of spiritual accomplishment) is supremely pure and sanctified. By merely having the divine vision (darshan) of Lord Hanuman here, all sorrows and sufferings vanish.
अर्थ: इसलिए, हे भाई! मेरी यह विनम्र प्रार्थना सुनो और उत्तम बुद्धि प्राप्त करके पवनपुत्र श्री हनुमान जी का भजन करो।
Therefore, O brother, listen to my humble plea: attain good wisdom and worship Lord Hanuman, the son of the Wind God.
अर्थ: अब मैं तुम्हें विस्तार से बताता हूँ कि श्री हनुमान जी सालासर में किस प्रकार प्रकट हुए। हे भक्तों, ध्यान से सुनो और अपने मन में इस कथा को धारण करो।
Now I shall narrate in detail how Lord Hanuman manifested in Salasar. O devotees, listen attentively and imbibe this story in your hearts.
अर्थ: सभी लोग जानते थे कि मोहनदास नामक ब्राह्मण भक्ति, भाव, सद्गुणों और ज्ञान के भंडार थे।
Everyone knew that the Brahmin named Mohandas was a treasure trove of devotion, spiritual emotion, virtues, and knowledge.
अर्थ: एक बार जब मोहनदास जी अपने सेवक उदय के साथ खेत में काम कर रहे थे, तभी स्वयं श्री हनुमान जी वहाँ प्रकट हुए।
Once, while Mohandas was working in the fields with his servant Uday, Lord Hanuman himself appeared there.
अर्थ: हनुमान जी ने ब्राह्मण से कहा, "मेरी बात सुनो और अपने हृदय में भक्ति जानकर ध्यान करो।"
Lord Hanuman said to the Brahmin, "Listen to my words and meditate with devotion, knowing it in your heart."
अर्थ: ब्राह्मण मोहनदास ने सब कुछ त्याग कर यह विचार किया कि हनुमान जी का भजन सदा सुख प्रदान करने वाला है।
The Brahmin Mohandas, abandoning all else, contemplated that the worship of Hanuman is eternally blissful.
अर्थ: जो भजन, भक्ति और ध्यान करता है, उसे नित्य हनुमान जी का मिलन प्राप्त होता है।
One who engages in chanting, devotion, and meditation daily attains the presence of Lord Hanuman.
अर्थ: आसोटा गाँव में (हनुमान जी की) मूर्ति प्रकट हुई और उसे (भक्त) ठाकुर सालासर ले आए।
The idol (of Hanuman) manifested in the village of Asota, and the devotee Thakur brought it to Salasar.
अर्थ: विक्रम संवत अट्ठारह सौ ग्यारह में, हनुमान जी बारहवें सूर्य के समान प्रकट हुए।
In Vikram Samvat eighteen hundred and eleven (1811), Lord Hanuman appeared like the twelfth sun.
अर्थ: यह शुभ घटना श्रावण मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की नवमी तिथि को शनिवार के दिन, एक अत्यंत पवित्र योग में घटित हुई।
This auspicious event occurred on the ninth day of the bright fortnight of the month of Shravan, on a Saturday, during a most sacred astrological conjunction.
अर्थ: भक्त मोहनदास जी ने श्रद्धापूर्वक पूजन और हवन संपन्न कराया, और इस प्रकार सुख प्रदान करने वाली हनुमान जी की दिव्य मूर्ति की स्थापना की।
Devotee Mohandas ji reverently performed worship and a sacred fire ritual (Havan), and thus installed the blissful idol of Lord Hanuman.
अर्थ: मोहनदास जी ने मंगलमय आरती का गायन किया, और ढोल-नगाड़ों की ध्वनि अत्यंत मधुर और मनोहारी लग रही थी।
Mohandas ji sang the auspicious Aarti, and the sounds of drums and kettledrums were exceedingly sweet and captivating.
अर्थ: भक्तों ने श्रद्धापूर्वक चूरमा का भोग अर्पित किया, और सभी ने मिलकर प्रेमपूर्वक भजन-कीर्तन का गायन किया।
Devotees reverently offered Churma as a sacred offering, and everyone together lovingly sang devotional hymns (Bhajans and Kirtans).
अर्थ: एक बार भक्त मोहनदास जी के मन में यह विचार आया और उन्हें प्रेरणा मिली कि वे मूर्ति का सुंदर श्रृंगार करें।
Once, a thought arose in the mind of devotee Mohandas ji, and he felt inspired to beautifully adorn the idol.
अर्थ: जो मन को सुख देने वाला चित्र रचा गया, उसे देखकर कपियों के राजा हनुमान जी अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए।
Upon seeing the delightful image that brought joy to the mind, Hanuman, the king of monkeys, became exceedingly pleased.
अर्थ: घी और सिंदूर से थाल भरकर, मूर्ति को सुंदर लाल रंग में रंग दिया गया।
Filling a plate with ghee and vermilion, the idol was beautifully adorned with a radiant red hue.
अर्थ: मोहन ने उदय को बुलाकर कहा, "आओ और हनुमान जी की आराधना करो।"
Mohan called Uday and instructed, "Come and worship Lord Hanuman."
अर्थ: हनुमान जी की सेवा में लगन लगाओ, इससे तुम्हारी भक्ति प्रतिदिन सवाई (डेढ़ गुना) बढ़ती जाएगी।
Engage in the dedicated service of Lord Hanuman, and your devotion will increase manifold (one and a quarter times) day by day.
अर्थ: सालासर धाम की जय-जयकार अत्यंत मनमोहक लगती है, और चारों दिशाओं में गूँजती घंटियों की ध्वनि मन को बहुत भाती है।
The resounding chants of "Jai" (victory) at Salasar Dham are exceedingly pleasing, and the sound of bells echoing in all directions delights the heart.
अर्थ: दिन-प्रतिदिन मंदिर का विस्तार होता गया, और उदय परिवार निरंतर पूजा-अर्चना करता रहा।
Day by day, the temple continued to expand, and Uday's family consistently performed worship.
अर्थ: जो भक्त मंगल पूर्णिमा के दिन श्रद्धापूर्वक आते हैं, वे सालासर बालाजी के शुभ दर्शन प्राप्त करते हैं।
Devotees who come with devotion on auspicious full moon days receive the blessed darshan of Salasar Balaji.
अर्थ: भक्तगण श्रद्धापूर्वक ध्वजा और नारियल अर्पित करते हैं, और खाण्ड-चूरमा का भोग लगाते हैं।
Devotees reverently offer flags and coconuts, and present Khand-Choorma as an offering.
अर्थ: भक्तगण एकाग्र मन से हनुमान जी का भजन करते हैं और इस प्रकार सालासर हनुमान को प्रसन्न करते हैं।
Devotees sing Hanuman's bhajans with focused minds, thereby pleasing Salasar Hanuman.
अर्थ: जो भक्त इस प्रकार (श्रद्धा और विधिपूर्वक) आकर प्रणाम करते हैं, वे सभी अपनी मनचाही इच्छाओं के फल प्राप्त करते हैं।
All devotees who come and bow down in this manner (with faith and proper ritual) receive the fruits of their desired wishes.
अर्थ: हनुमान जी की कृपा से आत्मज्ञान प्रतिदिन नवीन रूप से बढ़ता है।
By the grace of Hanuman, self-knowledge grows ever new each day.
अर्थ: जो भक्त सालासर बालाजी की शरण में जाता है, उसके सभी प्रकार के कष्ट और विकार दूर हो जाते हैं।
Whoever takes refuge in Salasar Balaji, all their troubles and imperfections are removed.
अर्थ: जिसके हृदय में भगवान हनुमान विराजमान होते हैं, उसकी चिंता रूपी सर्पिणी तुरंत भाग जाती है।
From the heart where Lord Hanuman reigns, the serpent of worry immediately flees.
अर्थ: हनुमान जी के दर्शन मन को अत्यंत प्रिय लगते हैं; उनकी लाल देह की छवि का वर्णन करना असंभव है।
The sight (darshan) of Lord Hanuman is exceedingly pleasing to the mind; the splendor of His red form is beyond description.
अर्थ: दूर-दूर से स्त्री-पुरुष (भक्त) सालासर बालाजी के दर्शन के लिए आते हैं और बड़े सौभाग्य से उन्हें यह दर्शन प्राप्त होते हैं।
Men and women (devotees) come from far and wide, and with great fortune, they attain the darshan of Salasar Balaji.
अर्थ: सभी भक्त संकटमोचन श्री हनुमान जी के बार-बार दर्शन करके अपने नेत्रों को सफल (धन्य) करते हैं।
All devotees make their eyes fruitful (blessed) by repeatedly beholding the remover of troubles, Shri Hanuman.
अर्थ: श्री हनुमान जी की महिमा चारों दिशाओं में गूँजती है, और वे सालासर धाम में दिव्य रूप से विराजमान हैं।
The glory of Shri Hanuman resounds in all four directions, and He is divinely seated in Salasar Dham.
अर्थ: मैं सालासर के इस पावन और शुभ धाम का भजन करता हूँ। बजरंगबली की जय हो, मैं उन्हें बारंबार प्रणाम करता हूँ।
I worship this sacred and auspicious abode of Salasar. Glory, glory, glory to Bajrangbali, I bow to Him repeatedly.
अर्थ: कवि 'इन्द्रजीत' कहते हैं कि जो भी सालासर धाम की महिमा का गान करता है, उसे कपिराज (हनुमान जी) की सहायता अवश्य प्राप्त होती है।
Poet 'Indrajeet' states that whoever sings the glory of Salasar Dham unfailingly receives the help of the King of Monkeys (Hanuman Ji).
अर्थ: जो भी इस सालासर हनुमत चालीसा का पाठ करता है या इसे सुनता है, कपिराज (हनुमान जी) उसका मंगल करते हैं और उसे शुभ फल प्रदान करते हैं।
Whoever recites or listens to this Salasar Hanumat Chalisa, the King of Monkeys (Hanuman Ji) bestows auspiciousness upon them and grants them good fortune.
अर्थ: जो भी भक्त इस शुभ और पवित्र धाम (सालासर बालाजी) की चालीसा को एकाग्र मन और पूर्ण श्रद्धा से गाता है।
