॥ साईं चालीसा ॥
पहले साई के चरणों में, अपना शीश नमाऊं मैं।
कैसे शिरडी साई आए, सारा हाल सुनाऊं मैं॥
कौन है माता, पिता कौन है, ये न किसी ने भी जाना।
कहां जन्म साई ने धारा, प्रश्न पहेली रहा बना॥
कोई कहे अयोध्या के, ये रामचन्द्र भगवान हैं।
कोई कहता साई बाबा, पवन पुत्र हनुमान हैं॥
कोई कहता मंगल मूर्ति, श्री गजानंद हैं साई।
कोई कहता गोकुल मोहन, देवकी नन्दन हैं साई॥
शंकर समझे भक्त कई तो, बाबा को भजते रहते।
कोई कह अवतार दत्त का, पूजा साई की करते॥
कुछ भी मानो उनको तुम, पर साई हैं सच्चे भगवान।
बड़े दयालु दीनबन्धु, कितनों को दिया जीवन दान॥
कई वर्ष पहले की घटना, तुम्हें सुनाऊंगा मैं बात।
किसी भाग्यशाली की, शिरडी में आई थी बारात॥
आया साथ उसी के था, बालक एक बहुत सुन्दर।
आया, आकर वहीं बस गया, पावन शिरडी किया नगर॥
कई दिनों तक भटकता, भिक्षा माँग उसने दर-दर।
और दिखाई ऐसी लीला, जग में जो हो गई अमर॥
जैसे-जैसे अमर उमर बढ़ी, बढ़ती ही वैसे गई शान।
घर-घर होने लगा नगर में, साई बाबा का गुणगान ॥
दिग्-दिगन्त में लगा गूंजने, फिर तो साईंजी का नाम।
दीन-दुखी की रक्षा करना, यही रहा बाबा का काम॥
बाबा के चरणों में जाकर, जो कहता मैं हूं निर्धन।
दया उसी पर होती उनकी, खुल जाते दुःख के बंधन॥
कभी किसी ने मांगी भिक्षा, दो बाबा मुझको संतान।
एवं अस्तु तब कहकर साई, देते थे उसको वरदान॥
स्वयं दुःखी बाबा हो जाते, दीन-दुःखी जन का लख हाल।
अन्तःकरण श्री साई का, सागर जैसा रहा विशाल॥
भक्त एक मद्रासी आया, घर का बहुत ब़ड़ा धनवान।
माल खजाना बेहद उसका, केवल नहीं रही संतान॥
लगा मनाने साईनाथ को, बाबा मुझ पर दया करो।
झंझा से झंकृत नैया को, तुम्हीं मेरी पार करो॥
कुलदीपक के बिना अंधेरा, छाया हुआ घर में मेरे।
इसलिए आया हूँ बाबा, होकर शरणागत तेरे॥
कुलदीपक के अभाव में, व्यर्थ है दौलत की माया।
आज भिखारी बनकर बाबा, शरण तुम्हारी मैं आया॥
दे दो मुझको पुत्र-दान, मैं ऋणी रहूंगा जीवन भर।
और किसी की आशा न मुझको, सिर्फ भरोसा है तुम पर॥
अनुनय-विनय बहुत की उसने, चरणों में धर के शीश।
तब प्रसन्न होकर बाबा ने, दिया भक्त को यह आशीश ॥
“अल्ला भला करेगा तेरा”, पुत्र जन्म हो तेरे घर।
कृपा रहेगी तुझ पर उसकी, और तेरे उस बालक पर॥
अब तक नहीं किसी ने पाया, साई की कृपा का पार।
पुत्र रत्न दे मद्रासी को, धन्य किया उसका संसार॥
तन-मन से जो भजे उसी का, जग में होता है उद्धार।
सांच को आंच नहीं हैं कोई, सदा झूठ की होती हार॥
मैं हूं सदा सहारे उसके, सदा रहूँगा उसका दास।
साई जैसा प्रभु मिला है, इतनी ही कम है क्या आस॥
मेरा भी दिन था एक ऐसा, मिलती नहीं मुझे रोटी।
तन पर कप़ड़ा दूर रहा था, शेष रही नन्हीं सी लंगोटी॥
सरिता सन्मुख होने पर भी, मैं प्यासा का प्यासा था।
दुर्दिन मेरा मेरे ऊपर, दावाग्नी बरसाता था॥
धरती के अतिरिक्त जगत में, मेरा कुछ अवलम्ब न था।
बना भिखारी मैं दुनिया में, दर-दर ठोकर खाता था॥
ऐसे में एक मित्र मिला जो, परम भक्त साई का था।
जंजालों से मुक्त मगर, जगती में वह भी मुझसा था॥
बाबा के दर्शन की खातिर, मिल दोनों ने किया विचार।
साई जैसे दया मूर्ति के, दर्शन को हो गए तैयार॥
पावन शिरडी नगर में जाकर, देख मतवाली मूरति।
धन्य जन्म हो गया कि हमने, जब देखी साई की सूरति ॥
जब से किए हैं दर्शन हमने, दुःख सारा काफूर हो गया।
संकट सारे मिटै और, विपदाओं का अन्त हो गया॥
मान और सम्मान मिला, भिक्षा में हमको बाबा से।
प्रतिबिम्बित हो उठे जगत में, हम साई की आभा से॥
बाबा ने सन्मान दिया है, मान दिया इस जीवन में।
इसका ही संबल ले मैं, हंसता जाऊंगा जीवन में॥
साई की लीला का मेरे, मन पर ऐसा असर हुआ।
लगता जगती के कण-कण में, जैसे हो वह भरा हुआ॥
“काशीराम” बाबा का भक्त, शिरडी में रहता था।
मैं साई का साई मेरा, वह दुनिया से कहता था॥
सीकर स्वयं वस्त्र बेचता, ग्राम-नगर बाजारों में।
झंकृत उसकी हृदय तंत्री थी, साई की झंकारों में॥
स्तब्ध निशा थी, थे सोय, रजनी आंचल में चाँद सितारे।
नहीं सूझता रहा हाथ को, हाथ तिमिर के मारे॥
वस्त्र बेचकर लौट रहा था, हाय! हाट से काशी।
विचित्र ब़ड़ा संयोग कि उस दिन, आता था एकाकी॥
घेर राह में ख़ड़े हो गए, उसे कुटिल अन्यायी।
मारो काटो लूटो इसकी ही, ध्वनि प़ड़ी सुनाई॥
लूट पीटकर उसे वहाँ से, कुटिल गए चम्पत हो।
आघातों में मर्माहत हो, उसने दी संज्ञा खो ॥
बहुत देर तक प़ड़ा रह वह, वहीं उसी हालत में।
जाने कब कुछ होश हो उठा, वहीं उसकी पलक में॥
अनजाने ही उसके मुंह से, निकल प़ड़ा था साई।
जिसकी प्रतिध्वनि शिरडी में, बाबा को प़ड़ी सुनाई॥
क्षुब्ध हो उठा मानस उनका, बाबा गए विकल हो।
लगता जैसे घटना सारी, घटी उन्हीं के सन्मुख हो॥
उन्मादी से इ़धर-उ़धर तब, बाबा लेगे भटकने।
सन्मुख चीजें जो भी आई, उनको लगने पटकने॥
और धधकते अंगारों में, बाबा ने अपना कर डाला।
हुए सशंकित सभी वहाँ, लख ताण्डवनृत्य निराला॥
समझ गए सब लोग, कि कोई भक्त प़ड़ा संकट में।
क्षुभित ख़ड़े थे सभी वहाँ, पर प़ड़े हुए विस्मय में॥
उसे बचाने की ही खातिर, बाबा आज विकल है।
उसकी ही पी़ड़ा से पीडित, उनकी अन्तःस्थल है॥
इतने में ही विविध ने अपनी, विचित्रता दिखलाई।
लख कर जिसको जनता की, श्रद्धा सरिता लहराई॥
लेकर संज्ञाहीन भक्त को, गा़ड़ी एक वहाँ आई।
सन्मुख अपने देख भक्त को, साई की आंखें भर आई॥
शांत, धीर, गंभीर, सिन्धु सा, बाबा का अन्तःस्थल।
आज न जाने क्यों रह-रहकर, हो जाता था चंचल ॥
आज दया की मूर्ति स्वयं था, बना हुआ उपचारी।
और भक्त के लिए आज था, देव बना प्रतिहारी॥
आज भक्ति की विषम परीक्षा में, सफल हुआ था काशी।
उसके ही दर्शन की खातिर थे, उम़ड़े नगर-निवासी॥
जब भी और जहां भी कोई, भक्त प़ड़े संकट में।
उसकी रक्षा करने बाबा, आते हैं पलभर में॥
युग-युग का है सत्य यह, नहीं कोई नई कहानी।
आपतग्रस्त भक्त जब होता, जाते खुद अन्तर्यामी॥
भेद-भाव से परे पुजारी, मानवता के थे साई।
जितने प्यारे हिन्दु-मुस्लिम, उतने ही थे सिक्ख ईसाई॥
भेद-भाव मन्दिर-मस्जिद का, तोड़-फोड़ बाबा ने डाला।
राह रहीम सभी उनके थे, कृष्ण करीम अल्लाताला॥
घण्टे की प्रतिध्वनि से गूंजा, मस्जिद का कोना-कोना।
मिले परस्पर हिन्दु-मुस्लिम, प्यार बढ़ा दिन-दिन दूना॥
चमत्कार था कितना सुन्दर, परिचय इस काया ने दी।
और नीम कडुवाहट में भी, मिठास बाबा ने भर दी॥
सब को स्नेह दिया साई ने, सबको संतुल प्यार किया।
जो कुछ जिसने भी चाहा, बाबा ने उसको वही दिया॥
ऐसे स्नेहशील भाजन का, नाम सदा जो जपा करे।
पर्वत जैसा दुःख न क्यों हो, पलभर में वह दूर टरे ॥
साई जैसा दाता हम, अरे नहीं देखा कोई।
जिसके केवल दर्शन से ही, सारी विपदा दूर गई॥
तन में साई, मन में साई, साई-साई भजा करो।
अपने तन की सुधि-बुधि खोकर, सुधि उसकी तुम किया करो॥
जब तू अपनी सुधि तज, बाबा की सुधि किया करेगा।
और रात-दिन बाबा-बाबा, ही तू रटा करेगा॥
तो बाबा को अरे! विवश हो, सुधि तेरी लेनी ही होगी।
तेरी हर इच्छा बाबा को, पूरी ही करनी होगी॥
जंगल, जगंल भटक न पागल, और ढूंढ़ने बाबा को।
एक जगह केवल शिरडी में, तू पाएगा बाबा को॥
धन्य जगत में प्राणी है वह, जिसने बाबा को पाया।
दुःख में, सुख में प्रहर आठ हो, साई का ही गुण गाया॥
गिरे संकटों के पर्वत, चाहे बिजली ही टूट पड़े।
साई का ले नाम सदा तुम, सन्मुख सब के रहो अड़े॥
इस बूढ़े की सुन करामत, तुम हो जाओगे हैरान।
दंग रह गए सुनकर जिसको, जाने कितने चतुर सुजान॥
एक बार शिरडी में साधु, ढ़ोंगी था कोई आया।
भोली-भाली नगर-निवासी, जनता को था भरमाया॥
जड़ी-बूटियां उन्हें दिखाकर, करने लगा वह भाषण।
कहने लगा सुनो श्रोतागण, घर मेरा है वृन्दावन ॥
औषधि मेरे पास एक है, और अजब इसमें शक्ति।
इसके सेवन करने से ही, हो जाती दुःख से मुक्ति॥
अगर मुक्त होना चाहो, तुम संकट से बीमारी से।
तो है मेरा नम्र निवेदन, हर नर से, हर नारी से॥
लो खरीद तुम इसको, इसकी सेवन विधियां हैं न्यारी।
यद्यपि तुच्छ वस्तु है यह, गुण उसके हैं अति भारी॥
जो है संतति हीन यहां यदि, मेरी औषधि को खाए।
पुत्र-रत्न हो प्राप्त, अरे वह मुंह मांगा फल पाए॥
औषधि मेरी जो न खरीदे, जीवन भर पछताएगा।
मुझ जैसा प्राणी शायद ही, अरे यहां आ पाएगा॥
दुनिया दो दिनों का मेला है, मौज शौक तुम भी कर लो।
अगर इससे मिलता है, सब कुछ, तुम भी इसको ले लो॥
हैरानी बढ़ती जनता की, लख इसकी कारस्तानी।
प्रमुदित वह भी मन- ही-मन था, लख लोगों की नादानी॥
खबर सुनाने बाबा को यह, गया दौड़कर सेवक एक।
सुनकर भृकुटी तनी और, विस्मरण हो गया सभी विवेक॥
हुक्म दिया सेवक को, सत्वर पकड़ दुष्ट को लाओ।
या शिरडी की सीमा से, कपटी को दूर भगाओ॥
मेरे रहते भोली-भाली, शिरडी की जनता को।
कौन नीच ऐसा जो, साहस करता है छलने को ॥
पलभर में ऐसे ढोंगी, कपटी नीच लुटेरे को।
महानाश के महागर्त में पहुँचा, दूँ जीवन भर को॥
तनिक मिला आभास मदारी, क्रूर, कुटिल अन्यायी को।
काल नाचता है अब सिर पर, गुस्सा आया साई को॥
पलभर में सब खेल बंद कर, भागा सिर पर रखकर पैर।
सोच रहा था मन ही मन, भगवान नहीं है अब खैर॥
सच है साई जैसा दानी, मिल न सकेगा जग में।
अंश ईश का साई बाबा, उन्हें न कुछ भी मुश्किल जग में॥
स्नेह, शील, सौजन्य आदि का, आभूषण धारण कर।
बढ़ता इस दुनिया में जो भी, मानव सेवा के पथ पर॥
वही जीत लेता है जगती के, जन जन का अन्तःस्थल।
उसकी एक उदासी ही, जग को कर देती है विह्वल॥
जब-जब जग में भार पाप का, बढ़-बढ़ ही जाता है।
उसे मिटाने की ही खातिर, अवतारी ही आता है॥
पाप और अन्याय सभी कुछ, इस जगती का हर के।
दूर भगा देता दुनिया के, दानव को क्षण भर के॥
स्नेह सुधा की धार बरसने, लगती है इस दुनिया में।
गले परस्पर मिलने लगते, हैं जन-जन आपस में॥
ऐसे अवतारी साई, मृत्युलोक में आकर।
समता का यह पाठ पढ़ाया, सबको अपना आप मिटाकर ॥
नाम द्वारका मस्जिद का, रखा शिरडी में साई ने।
दाप, ताप, संताप मिटाया, जो कुछ आया साई ने॥
सदा याद में मस्त राम की, बैठे रहते थे साई।
पहर आठ ही राम नाम को, भजते रहते थे साई॥
सूखी-रूखी ताजी बासी, चाहे या होवे पकवान।
सौदा प्यार के भूखे साई की, खातिर थे सभी समान॥
स्नेह और श्रद्धा से अपनी, जन जो कुछ दे जाते थे।
बड़े चाव से उस भोजन को, बाबा पावन करते थे॥
कभी-कभी मन बहलाने को, बाबा बाग में जाते थे।
प्रमुदित मन में निरख प्रकृति, छटा को वे होते थे॥
रंग-बिरंगे पुष्प बाग के, मंद-मंद हिल-डुल करके।
बीहड़ वीराने मन में भी, स्नेह सलिल भर जाते थे॥
ऐसी समुधुर बेला में भी, दुख आपात, विपदा के मारे।
अपने मन की व्यथा सुनाने, जन रहते बाबा को घेरे॥
सुनकर जिनकी करूणकथा को, नयन कमल भर आते थे।
दे विभूति हर व्यथा, शांति, उनके उर में भर देते थे॥
जाने क्या अद्भुत शिक्त, उस विभूति में होती थी।
जो धारण करते मस्तक पर, दुःख सारा हर लेती थी॥
धन्य मनुज वे साक्षात् दर्शन, जो बाबा साई के पाए।
धन्य कमल कर उनके जिनसे, चरण-कमल वे परसाए ॥
काश निर्भय तुमको भी, साक्षात् साई मिल जाता।
वर्षों से उजड़ा चमन अपना, फिर से आज खिल जाता॥
गर पकड़ता मैं चरण श्री के, नहीं छोड़ता उम्रभर।
मना लेता मैं जरूर उनको, गर रूठते साई मुझ पर॥
सबका मालिक एक!

Pahle Sai ke charanon mein, apna sheesh namaaun main.
Kaise Shirdi Sai aaye, saara haal sunaaun main.
Kaun hai maata, pita kaun hai, ye na kisi ne bhi jaana.
Kahan janm Sai ne dhaara, prashn paheli raha bana.
Koi kahe Ayodhya ke, ye Ramchandra bhagwaan hain.
Koi kahta Sai Baba, Pawan putra Hanuman hain.
Koi kahta mangal moorti, Shri Gajanand hain Sai.
Koi kahta Gokul Mohan, Devaki nandan hain Sai.
Shankar samjhe bhakt kai to, Baba ko bhajte rahte.
Koi kah avatar Datt ka, pooja Sai ki karte.
Kuchh bhi maano unko tum, par Sai hain sachche bhagwaan.
Bade dayaalu deenbandhu, kitnon ko diya jeevan daan.
Kai varsh pahle ki ghatna, tumhein sunaaunga main baat.
Kisi bhagyashaali ki, Shirdi mein aayi thi baaraat.
Aaya saath usi ke tha, baalak ek bahut sundar.
Aaya, aakar wahin bas gaya, paavan Shirdi kiya nagar.
Kai dinon tak bhatakta, bhiksha maang usne dar-dar.
Aur dikhaai aisi leela, jag mein jo ho gayi amar.
Jaise-jaise amar umar badhi, badhti hi waise gayi shaan.
Ghar-ghar hone laga nagar mein, Sai Baba ka gungaan.
Dig-digant mein laga goonjne, phir to Sai-ji ka naam.
Deen-dukhi ki raksha karna, yahi raha Baba ka kaam.
Baba ke charanon mein jaakar, jo kahta main hoon nirdhan.
Daya usi par hoti unki, khul jaate dukh ke bandhan.
Kabhi kisi ne maangi bhiksha, do Baba mujhko santaan.
Evam astu tab kahkar Sai, dete the usko vardaan.
Swayam dukhi Baba ho jaate, deen-dukhi jan ka lakh haal.
Antahkaran Shri Sai ka, saagar jaisa raha vishaal.
Bhakt ek Madraasi aaya, ghar ka bahut bada dhanwaan.
Maal khazaana behad uska, keval nahin rahi santaan.
Laga manaane Sainath ko, Baba mujh par daya karo.
Jhanjha se jhankrit naiya ko, tumhin meri paar karo.
Kuldeepak ke bina andhera, chhaaya hua ghar mein mere.
Isliye aaya hoon Baba, hokar sharnaagat tere.
Kuldeepak ke abhaav mein, vyarth hai daulat ki maaya.
Aaj bhikhaari bankar Baba, sharan tumhaari main aaya.
De do mujhko putra-daan, main rini rahoonga jeevan bhar.
Aur kisi ki aasha na mujhko, sirf bharosa hai tum par.
Anunay-vinay bahut ki usne, charanon mein dhar ke sheesh.
Tab prasann hokar Baba ne, diya bhakt ko yah aasheesh.
“Allah bhala karega tera”, putra janm ho tere ghar.
Kripa rahegi tujh par uski, aur tere us baalak par.
Ab tak nahin kisi ne paaya, Sai ki kripa ka paar.
Putra ratna de Madraasi ko, dhanya kiya uska sansaar.
Tan-man se jo bhaje usi ka, jag mein hota hai uddhaar.
Saanch ko aanch nahin hain koi, sada jhooth ki hoti haar.
Main hoon sada sahare uske, sada rahoonga uska daas.
Sai jaisa prabhu mila hai, itni hi kam hai kya aas.
Mera bhi din tha ek aisa, milti nahin mujhe roti.
Tan par kapda door raha tha, shesh rahi nanhi si langoti.
Sarita sanmukh hone par bhi, main pyaasa ka pyaasa tha.
Durdin mera mere oopar, daavagni barsaata tha.
Dharti ke atirikt jagat mein, mera kuchh avalamb na tha.
Bana bhikhaari main duniya mein, dar-dar thokar khaata tha.
Aise mein ek mitra mila jo, param bhakt Sai ka tha.
Janjaalon se mukt magar, jagati mein vah bhi mujhsa tha.
Baba ke darshan ki khaatir, mil donon ne kiya vichaar.
Sai jaise daya moorti ke, darshan ko ho gaye taiyaar.
Paavan Shirdi nagar mein jaakar, dekh matwaali moorati.
Dhanya janm ho gaya ki humne, jab dekhi Sai ki soorati.
Jab se kiye hain darshan humne, dukh saara kaafoor ho gaya.
Sankat saare mite aur, vipadaaon ka ant ho gaya.
Maan aur sammaan mila, bhiksha mein humko Baba se.
Pratibimbit ho uthe jagat mein, hum Sai ki aabha se.
Baba ne sanmaan diya hai, maan diya is jeevan mein.
Iska hi sambal le main, hansta jaaunga jeevan mein.
Sai ki leela ka mere, man par aisa asar hua.
Lagta jagati ke kan-kan mein, jaise ho vah bhara hua.
“Kashiram” Baba ka bhakt, Shirdi mein rahta tha.
Main Sai ka Sai mera, vah duniya se kahta tha.
Seekar swayam vastra bechta, graam-nagar baazaaron mein.
Jhankrit uski hriday tantri thi, Sai ki jhankaaron mein.
Stabdh nisha thi, the soye, rajani aanchal mein chaand sitaare.
Nahin soojhta raha haath ko, haath timir ke maare.
Vastra bechkar laut raha tha, haay! haat se Kaashi.
Vichitra bada sanyog ki us din, aata tha ekaaki.
Gher raah mein khade ho gaye, use kutil anyaayi.
Maaro kaato looto iski hi, dhvani padi sunaai.
Loot peetkar use vahaan se, kutil gaye champat ho.
Aaghaaton mein marmaahat ho, usne di sangya kho.
Bahut der tak pada rah vah, vahin usi haalat mein.
Jaane kab kuchh hosh ho utha, vahin uski palak mein.
Anjaane hi uske munh se, nikal pada tha Sai.
Jiski pratidhvani Shirdi mein, Baba ko padi sunaai.
Kshubdh ho utha maanas unka, Baba gaye vikal ho.
Lagta jaise ghatna saari, ghati unhin ke sanmukh ho.
Unmaadi se idhar-udhar tab, Baba lage bhatakne.
Sanmukh cheejein jo bhi aayi, unko lagne patakne.
Aur dhadhakte angaaron mein, Baba ne apna kar daala.
Hue sashankit sabhi vahaan, lakh taandav-nritya niraala.
Samajh gaye sab log, ki koi bhakt pada sankat mein.
Kshubhit khade the sabhi vahaan, par pade hue vismay mein.
Use bachaane ki hi khaatir, Baba aaj vikal hai.
Uski hi peeda se peedit, unki antahsthal hai.
Itne mein hi vividh ne apni, vichitrata dikhlaai.
Lakh kar jisko janata ki, shraddha sarita lahraai.
Lekar sangyaa-heen bhakt ko, gaadi ek vahaan aayi.
Sanmukh apne dekh bhakt ko, Sai ki aankhein bhar aayi.
Shaant, dheer, gambheer, sindhu sa, Baba ka antahsthal.
Aaj na jaane kyon rah-rahkar, ho jaata tha chanchal.
Aaj daya ki moorti swayam tha, bana hua upchaari.
Aur bhakt ke liye aaj tha, dev bana pratihaari.
Aaj bhakti ki visham pareeksha mein, safal hua tha Kaashi.
Uske hi darshan ki khaatir the, umde nagar-nivaasi.
Jab bhi aur jahan bhi koi, bhakt pade sankat mein.
Uski raksha karne Baba, aate hain palbhar mein.
Yug-yug ka hai satya yah, nahin koi nai kahaani.
Aapat-grast bhakt jab hota, jaate khud antaryaami.
Bhed-bhaav se pare pujaari, maanavata ke the Sai.

Ghante ki pratidhvani se goonja, masjid ka kona-kona.
Mile paraspar Hindu-Muslim, pyaar badha din-din doona.
Chamatkaar tha kitna sundar, parichay is kaaya ne di.
Aur neem kaduvaahat mein bhi, mithaas Baba ne bhar di.
Sab ko sneh diya Sai ne, sabko santul pyaar kiya.
Jo kuchh jisne bhi chaaha, Baba ne usko vahi diya.
Aise sneh-sheel bhaajan ka, naam sada jo japa kare.
Parvat jaisa dukh na kyon ho, palbhar mein vah door tare.
Sai jaisa daata hum, are nahin dekha koi.
Jiske keval darshan se hi, saari vipada door gayi.
Tan mein Sai, man mein Sai, Sai-Sai bhaja karo.
Apne tan ki sudhi-budhi khokar, sudhi uski tum kiya karo.
Jab tu apni sudhi taj, Baba ki sudhi kiya karega.
Aur raat-din Baba-Baba, hi tu rata karega.
To Baba ko are! vivash ho, sudhi teri leni hi hogi.
Teri har ichchha Baba ko, poori hi karni hogi.
Jangal, jangal bhatak na paagal, aur dhoondhne Baba ko.
Ek jagah keval Shirdi mein, tu paayega Baba ko.
Dhanya jagat mein praani hai vah, jisne Baba ko paaya.
Dukh mein, sukh mein prahar aath ho, Sai ka hi gun gaaya.
Gire sankaton ke parvat, chaahe bijli hi toot pade.
Sai ka le naam sada tum, sanmukh sab ke raho ade.
Is boodhe ki sun karaamat, tum ho jaaoge hairaan.
Dang rah gaye sunkar jisko, jaane kitne chatur sujaan.
Ek baar Shirdi mein saadhu, dhongi tha koi aaya.
Bholi-bhaali nagar-nivaasi, janata ko tha bharmaaya.
Jadi-bootiyan unhein dikhaakar, karne laga vah bhaashan.
Kahne laga suno shrotagan, ghar mera hai Vrindavan.
Aushadhi mere paas ek hai, aur ajab isme shakti.
Iske sevan karne se hi, ho jaati dukh se mukti.
Agar mukt hona chaaho, tum sankat se beemaari se.
To hai mera namra nivedan, har nar se, har naari se.
Lo khareed tum isko, iski sevan vidhiyaan hain nyaari.
Yadyapi tuchchh vastu hai yah, gun uske hain ati bhaari.
Jo hai santati heen yahan yadi, meri aushadhi ko khaaye.
Putra-ratna ho praapt, are vah munh maanga phal paaye.
Aushadhi meri jo na khareede, jeevan bhar pachtayega.
Mujh jaisa praani shaayad hi, are yahan aa paayega.
Duniya do dinon ka mela hai, mauj shauk tum bhi kar lo.
Agar isse milta hai, sab kuchh, tum bhi isko le lo.
Hairaani badhti janata ki, lakh iski kaarastaani.
Pramudit vah bhi man-hi-man tha, lakh logon ki naadaani.
Khabar sunaane Baba ko yah, gaya daudkar sevak ek.
Sunkar bhrikuti tani aur, vismaran ho gaya sabhi vivek.
Hukm diya sevak ko, satvar pakad dusht ko laao.
Ya Shirdi ki seema se, kapti ko door bhagaao.
Mere rahte bholi-bhaali, Shirdi ki janata ko.
Kaun neech aisa jo, saahas karta hai chhalne ko.
Palbhar mein aise dhongi, kapti neech lutere ko.
Mahaanaash ke mahaagart mein pahuncha, doon jeevan bhar ko.
Tanik mila aabhaas madaari, kroor, kutil anyaayi ko.
Kaal naachta hai ab sir par, gussa aaya Sai ko.
Palbhar mein sab khel band kar, bhaaga sir par rakhkar pair.
Soch raha tha man hi man, bhagwaan nahin hai ab khair.
Sach hai Sai jaisa daani, mil na sakega jag mein.
Ansh eesh ka Sai Baba, unhein na kuchh bhi mushkil jag mein.
Sneh, sheel, saujanya aadi ka, aabhooshan dhaaran kar.
Badhta is duniya mein jo bhi, maanav seva ke path par.
Vahi jeet leta hai jagati ke, jan jan ka antahsthal.
Uski ek udaasi hi, jag ko kar deti hai vihval.
Jab-jab jag mein bhaar paap ka, badh-badh hi jaata hai.
Use mitaane ki hi khaatir, avtaari hi aata hai.
Paap aur anyaay sabhi kuchh, is jagati ka har ke.
Door bhaga deta duniya ke, daanav ko kshan bhar ke.
Sneh sudha ki dhaar barasne, lagti hai is duniya mein.
Gale paraspar milne lagte, hain jan-jan aapas mein.
Aise avtaari Sai, mrityulok mein aakar.
Samata ka yah paath padhaaya, sabko apna aap mitaakar.
Naam Dwaraka masjid ka, rakha Shirdi mein Sai ne.
Daap, taap, santaap mitaaya, jo kuchh aaya Sai ne.
Sada yaad mein mast Ram ki, baithe rahte the Sai.
Pahar aath hi Ram naam ko, bhajte rahte the Sai.
Sookhi-rookhi taaji baasi, chaahe ya hove pakwaan.
Sauda pyaar ke bhookhe Sai ki, khaatir the sabhi samaan.
Sneh aur shraddha se apni, jan jo kuchh de jaate the.
Bade chaav se us bhojan ko, Baba paavan karte the.
Kabhi-kabhi man bahlaane ko, Baba baag mein jaate the.
Pramudit man mein nirakh prakriti, chhata ko ve hote the.
Rang-birange pushp baag ke, mand-mand hil-dul karke.
Beehad veeraane man mein bhi, sneh salil bhar jaate the.
Aisi samudhur bela mein bhi, dukh aapaat, vipada ke maare.
Apne man ki vyatha sunaane, jan rahte Baba ko ghere.
Sunkar jinki karun-katha ko, nayan kamal bhar aate the.
De vibhooti har vyatha, shaanti, unke ur mein bhar dete the.
Jaane kya adbhut shakti, us vibhooti mein hoti thi.
Jo dhaaran karte mastak par, dukh saara har leti thi.
Dhanya manuj ve saakshaat darshan, jo Baba Sai ke paaye.
Dhanya kamal kar unke jinse, charan-kamal ve parsaaye.
Kaash nirbhay tumko bhi, saakshaat Sai mil jaata.
Varshon se ujda chaman apna, phir se aaj khil jaata.
Gar pakadta main charan Shri ke, nahin chhodta umrabhar.
Mana leta main zaroor unko, gar roothte Sai mujh par.

First, I bow my head at the lotus feet of Sai.
I shall narrate the whole story of how Sai came to Shirdi.
Who is His mother, who is His father, no one has ever known this.
Where Sai took birth, remains an unsolved puzzle.
Some say He is Lord Ramachandra of Ayodhya.
Some say Sai Baba is Hanuman, the son of the wind.
Some say Sai is the auspicious idol, Lord Gajanand (Ganesha).
Some say Sai is Gokul Mohan, the son of Devaki (Krishna).
Many devotees consider Him Shankar (Shiva) and keep worshiping Baba.
Some call Him an incarnation of Dattatreya and worship Sai.
Whatever you believe Him to be, Sai is the true God.
Very merciful, the friend of the poor, He gave the gift of life to many.
An incident from many years ago, I will tell you about it.
A marriage procession of a fortunate one had come to Shirdi.
Along with it came a very beautiful child.
He came, and settled there, and made the town of Shirdi holy.
Wandering for many days, He begged for alms from door to door.
And showed such divine play, which became immortal in the world.
As His immortal age increased, His glory also increased.
The praises of Sai Baba started in every house in the town.
Then the name of Sai Ji began to echo in all directions.
To protect the poor and sorrowful, this remained Baba's work.
Going to Baba's feet, whoever says "I am poor."
He has mercy on them, and the bonds of sorrow are opened.
Saying "Evam Astu" (So be it), Sai would give them the boon.
Baba Himself would become sad, seeing the condition of the poor and sorrowful.
The heart of Shri Sai was vast like the ocean.
A Madrasi devotee came, a very wealthy man of the house.
He had immense wealth and treasure, but had no child.
He started pleading with Sainath, "Baba, have mercy on me.
Only you can steer my boat, caught in the storm, across."
Without the lamp of the lineage (a son), darkness shadows my house.
That is why I have come, Baba, taking your refuge.
In the absence of an heir, the illusion of wealth is useless.
Today, becoming a beggar, Baba, I have come to your shelter.
Give me the gift of a son, I will be indebted to you for life.
I have no hope from anyone else, I only trust in you.
He pleaded and requested a lot, placing his head at His feet.
Then becoming pleased, Baba gave this blessing to the devotee.
“Allah will do you good,” a son will be born in your house.
His grace will be on you, and on that child of yours.
Until now, no one has found the limit of Sai's grace.
Giving the jewel of a son to the Madrasi, He blessed his world.
Whoever worships Him with body and mind, gets salvation in the world.
Truth has nothing to fear, falsehood always faces defeat.
I am always dependent on Him, I will always remain His servant.
I too had such a day, when I couldn't even get bread.
Clothes were far from my body, only a tiny loincloth remained.
Even with a river in front of me, I remained thirsty.
My bad days were raining a forest fire upon me.
Besides the earth, I had no other support in the world.
Becoming a beggar in the world, I stumbled from door to door.
In such a state, I met a friend who was a supreme devotee of Sai.
Free from worldly entanglements, but in the world, he too was like me.
For the sake of Baba's darshan (vision), we both made a plan.
To see the idol of mercy like Sai, we got ready.
Going to the holy town of Shirdi, seeing His intoxicating idol.
Our birth became blessed, when we saw the face of Sai.
Since we had His darshan, all our sorrow vanished into thin air.
All crises were erased, and calamities came to an end.
We received respect and honor as alms from Baba.
We reflected in the world, by the radiant aura of Sai.
Baba has given respect, has given honor in this life.
Taking this as my support, I will go on laughing in life.
The divine play of Sai had such an effect on my mind.
It feels as if He is filled in every particle of the universe.
"Kashiram", a devotee of Baba, lived in Shirdi.
"I am Sai's, Sai is mine," he used to tell the world.
Stitching clothes himself, he sold them in village and town markets.
The strings of his heart vibrated with the melodies of Sai.
It was a still night, everyone slept, moon and stars in the lap of the night.
Hand could not see hand, because of the deep darkness.
He was returning after selling clothes, alas! from the market, Kashi.
It was a strange coincidence that day, he was coming alone.
Surrounding him on the path, cruel and unjust men stood.
"Beat, cut, loot him," only this sound was heard.
After looting and beating him there, the wicked men fled.
Deeply wounded by the blows, he lost consciousness.
He lay there for a long time, in that same condition.
Who knows when he regained some consciousness, right there in a blink.
Unknowingly, from his mouth, the word "Sai" slipped out.
The echo of which was heard by Baba in Shirdi.
His mind became agitated, Baba became restless.
It felt as if the whole incident had happened right in front of Him.
Like a madman, here and there, Baba started wandering.
Whatever things came in front of Him, He started throwing them.
And into the blazing embers, Baba thrust His own hand.
Everyone there became apprehensive, seeing this unique fierce dance (Tandava).
Everyone understood, that some devotee had fallen into a crisis.
Everyone stood there agitated, but fell into astonishment.
Just for the sake of saving him, Baba is restless today.
Suffering from his pain, is His inner heart.
Just then, destiny showed its strange ways.
Seeing which, the river of the public's faith surged.
Carrying the unconscious devotee, a cart arrived there.
Seeing the devotee in front of Him, Sai's eyes filled with tears.
Peaceful, patient, grave, like an ocean, was Baba's inner heart.
Today, not knowing why, it kept becoming restless again and again.
Today the idol of mercy Himself, had become the healer.
And for the devotee today, the God had become a guard.
Today, in the difficult test of devotion, Kashi had succeeded.
Just for the sake of his darshan, the townspeople had gathered.
To protect him, Baba arrives in a moment.
Beyond discrimination was the priest, Sai belonged to humanity.
As dear as Hindus and Muslims were, so were Sikhs and Christians.
The discrimination of temple and mosque, Baba broke and dismantled.
The path of Rahim, all were His, Krishna, Karim, Allah Ta'ala.
Every corner of the mosque echoed with the sound of the bell.
Hindus and Muslims met each other, love grew leaps and bounds day by day.
How beautiful the miracle was, that this body introduced.
And even in the bitterness of Neem, Baba filled sweetness.
Sai gave affection to everyone, He loved everyone equally.
Whatever anyone wished for, Baba gave them exactly that.
Whoever constantly chants the name of such an affectionate vessel.
Even if the sorrow is like a mountain, it goes away in a moment.
A giver like Sai, oh, we have not seen anyone.
Just by His mere sight, all calamities vanished.
Sai in the body, Sai in the mind, keep chanting Sai-Sai.
Losing the awareness of your own body, keep remembering Him.
And day and night, you keep repeating only "Baba-Baba".
Then Baba, oh! becoming compelled, will have to take care of you.
Every wish of yours, Baba will have to fulfill.
Do not wander like a madman from jungle to jungle, searching for Baba.
In only one place, in Shirdi, you will find Baba.
Blessed is that being in the world, who has found Baba.
In sorrow, in joy, all eight watches (24 hours), they sang the virtues of Sai.
Even if mountains of crises fall, even if lightning strikes.
You always take the name of Sai, stand firm in front of everything.
Hearing the miracle of this old man, you will be amazed.
Hearing which they remained stunned, who knows how many clever and wise people.
Once in Shirdi, a hypocrite saint arrived.
He delusioned the innocent townspeople, the public.
Showing them herbs and roots, he started giving a speech.
Started saying, "Listen audience, my home is Vrindavan.
I have one medicine, and there is a strange power in it.
Just by consuming it, one gets freedom from sorrow.
If you want to be free, from crises, from disease.
Then it is my humble request, to every man, every woman.
Take it, buy it, its methods of consumption are unique.
Although this is a trivial object, its virtues are extremely heavy.
Whoever is childless here, if they eat my medicine.
They will obtain the jewel of a son, oh, they will get their desired fruit.
Whoever does not buy my medicine, will regret it for life.
A being like me, perhaps, oh, will ever be able to come here again."
The world is a fair of two days, you also enjoy and fulfill your desires.
If from this you get everything, you also take this.
The public's astonishment grew, seeing his trickery.
He was also delighted in his heart, seeing the ignorance of the people.
To tell this news to Baba, one servant ran.
Hearing it, His eyebrows tightened, and He forgot all discretion.
He ordered the servant, "Catch the wicked one immediately and bring him.
Or from the borders of Shirdi, chase the deceiver far away.
While I am here, to the innocent people of Shirdi.
Which lowly person is this, who dares to cheat them?
In a moment, such a hypocrite, deceitful lowly robber.
I will send him to the great pit of destruction, for his entire life."
The juggler got a slight hint, the cruel, crooked unjust one.
Death is now dancing on his head, Sai has gotten angry.
In a moment, closing all his play, he ran putting his feet on his head.
He was thinking in his mind, "Oh God, there is no safety now."
It is true, a donor like Sai, cannot be found in the world.
A fraction of God is Sai Baba, nothing is difficult for Him in the world.
Wearing the ornaments of affection, modesty, courtesy, etc.
Whoever moves forward in this world, on the path of serving humanity.
He alone wins the inner heart of every person in the world.
Just one sadness of His, makes the world distressed.
Just for the sake of erasing it, an Avatar (Incarnation) comes.
Taking away all the sins and injustices of this world.
He chases away the demons of the world, in a fraction of a moment.
The stream of the nectar of affection starts raining in this world.
People start embracing each other mutually.
Such an Avatar, Sai, coming into the mortal world.
Taught this lesson of equality, erasing everyone's ego.
Sai named the mosque in Shirdi "Dwaraka" (Dwarakamai).
He erased the pride, fever, and sorrow of whatever came to Sai.
Always intoxicated in the memory of Rama, Sai used to sit.
For all eight watches (24 hours), Sai kept chanting the name of Rama.
Dry and rough, fresh or stale, or whether it be a delicacy.
For Sai, who was hungry for the deal of love, all were equal.
Whatever people brought and gave with their affection and faith.
Baba used to make that food holy with great fondness.
Sometimes to amuse His mind, Baba used to go to the garden.
With a delighted mind, He used to observe the beauty of nature.
The colorful flowers of the garden, gently swaying.
Even in the rugged deserted mind, they used to fill the water of affection.
Even in such a sweet time, struck by sorrow, emergencies, and calamities.
People remained surrounding Baba, to tell the agony of their minds.
Hearing whose pitiful stories, His lotus eyes used to fill up.
Giving 'Udi' (sacred ash) for every agony, He filled their hearts with peace.
Who knows what wonderful power was there in that 'Udi'.
Whoever applied it on their forehead, it took away all their sorrow.
Blessed are those humans who got the direct vision of Baba Sai.
Blessed are those lotus hands of His, which touched their lotus feet.
I wish, fearlessly, you too would meet Sai directly.
Our garden, ruined for years, would bloom again today.
If I caught hold of Shri's feet, I would not leave them for a lifetime.
I would certainly persuade Him, if Sai ever got upset with me.

I wish to narrate the entire account of how Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा के माता-पिता कौन थे, यह रहस्य किसी को ज्ञात नहीं हुआ।
Who were Sai Baba's mother and father, this secret was never known to anyone.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा ने कहाँ जन्म लिया, यह प्रश्न एक अनसुलझी पहेली ही बना रहा।
Where Sai Baba took birth, this question remained an unsolved enigma.
अर्थ: कुछ भक्त कहते हैं कि साईं बाबा अयोध्या के भगवान रामचंद्र का ही स्वरूप हैं।
Some devotees say that Sai Baba is indeed Lord Ramachandra of Ayodhya.
अर्थ: कुछ भक्त कहते हैं कि साईं बाबा स्वयं पवनपुत्र हनुमान का ही रूप हैं।
Some devotees say that Sai Baba is none other than Pavan Putra Hanuman himself.
अर्थ: कुछ भक्त कहते हैं कि साईं बाबा मंगलमूर्ति श्री गजानंद (गणेश) का ही स्वरूप हैं।
Some devotees say that Sai Baba is the auspicious form of Shri Gajanand (Ganesha) himself.
अर्थ: कुछ भक्त साईं को गोकुल के मनमोहक कृष्ण, देवकी के पुत्र के रूप में देखते हैं।
Some devotees perceive Sai as the enchanting Krishna of Gokul, the beloved son of Devaki.
अर्थ: कई भक्त तो उन्हें भगवान शंकर का ही रूप मानकर बाबा का निरंतर भजन करते रहते हैं।
Many devotees, considering Him an embodiment of Lord Shankar, continuously chant and worship Baba.
अर्थ: कुछ भक्त उन्हें भगवान दत्तात्रेय का अवतार मानकर साईं की पूजा-अर्चना करते हैं।
Some devotees worship Sai, believing Him to be an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya.
अर्थ: तुम उन्हें किसी भी रूप में मानो, परंतु सत्य यही है कि साईं ही सच्चे और परमेश्वर हैं।
Whatever form you perceive Him in, the truth remains that Sai is indeed the true and supreme God.
अर्थ: वे अत्यंत दयालु और गरीबों के मित्र हैं, जिन्होंने अनगिनत लोगों को नया जीवन प्रदान किया है।
He is exceedingly compassionate and a friend to the downtrodden, having bestowed the gift of new life upon countless individuals.
अर्थ: मैं तुम्हें कई वर्षों पूर्व घटित एक महत्वपूर्ण घटना सुनाने जा रहा हूँ।
I am about to narrate to you an important incident that occurred many years ago.
अर्थ: किसी अत्यंत भाग्यशाली व्यक्ति की विवाह यात्रा (बारात) शिरडी गाँव में आई थी।
A wedding procession of a very fortunate person once arrived in the village of Shirdi.
अर्थ: उसी बारात के साथ एक अत्यंत मनमोहक और दिव्य बालक भी शिरडी आया था।
Along with that very procession, a supremely charming and divine child also arrived in Shirdi.
अर्थ: वह बालक शिरडी आया, और वहीं स्थायी रूप से निवास करने लगा, जिससे शिरडी नगर एक पवित्र तीर्थस्थल बन गया।
That child came to Shirdi, settled there permanently, and thus transformed the town of Shirdi into a sacred pilgrimage site.
अर्थ: कई दिनों तक वह बालक दर-दर भटकता रहा और विनम्रतापूर्वक भिक्षा माँगता रहा।
For many days, that child wandered from door to door, humbly asking for alms.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा ने ऐसी अद्भुत और दिव्य लीलाएँ प्रदर्शित कीं, जो इस संसार में सदा के लिए अमर हो गईं।
And He manifested such divine plays (leelas) that became immortal in this world.
अर्थ: जैसे-जैसे साईं बाबा की आयु बढ़ती गई, वैसे-वैसे उनकी महिमा और कीर्ति भी निरंतर बढ़ती चली गई।
As Sai Baba's age advanced, so did His glory and renown continuously increase.
अर्थ: नगर के प्रत्येक घर में साईं बाबा की महिमा और गुणों का कीर्तन होने लगा।
In every home throughout the town, the praises and virtues of Sai Baba began to be sung.
अर्थ: इसके पश्चात्, साईं जी का पवित्र नाम सभी दिशाओं और दूर-दूर तक गूँजने लगा।
Thereafter, the sacred name of Sai Ji began to echo in all directions and far and wide.
अर्थ: दीन-हीन और दुखित प्राणियों की रक्षा करना ही साईं बाबा का परम कार्य और जीवन का उद्देश्य रहा।
Protecting the poor, helpless, and suffering beings remained Sai Baba's supreme work and life's purpose.
अर्थ: जो भक्त बाबा के चरणों में जाकर अपनी निर्धनता या असहायता व्यक्त करता है।
Whoever approaches Baba's feet, declaring their poverty or helplessness.
अर्थ: उन पर बाबा की असीम दया होती है, और उनके दुखों के समस्त बंधन स्वतः ही खुल जाते हैं।
Upon such a one, Baba bestows His boundless compassion, and all the bonds of their sorrows are automatically loosened.
अर्थ: कभी किसी भक्त ने बाबा से यह भिक्षा मांगी कि, "हे बाबा, मुझे संतान प्रदान करें।"
Sometimes, a devotee would humbly request, "O Baba, please grant me the boon of a child."
अर्थ: तब साईं बाबा 'एवं अस्तु' (ऐसा ही हो) कहकर उसे अपनी इच्छित संतान का वरदान प्रदान करते थे।
Then Sai Baba, by uttering "Evam astu" (So be it), would bestow upon them the desired boon of a child.
अर्थ: दीन-दुःखी और असहाय लोगों की दयनीय दशा देखकर बाबा स्वयं भी अत्यंत दुःखी हो जाते थे।
Witnessing the pitiable condition of the poor, distressed, and helpless, Baba Himself would become deeply sorrowful.
अर्थ: श्री साईं बाबा का हृदय (अंतःकरण) सागर के समान अत्यंत विशाल और गहरा था।
The inner being (heart) of Shri Sai Baba was vast and profound like an ocean.
अर्थ: एक मद्रास प्रांत का भक्त साईं बाबा के पास आया, जो अपने घर-परिवार में बहुत बड़ा धनवान था।
A devotee from the Madras region came to Sai Baba, who was a very wealthy person in his household.
अर्थ: उसके पास अपार धन-संपत्ति और खजाना था, परंतु उसे संतान सुख प्राप्त नहीं था।
He possessed immense wealth and treasures, but he was not blessed with a child.
अर्थ: वह भक्त साईंनाथ की स्तुति और प्रार्थना करने लगा, "हे बाबा, मुझ पर अपनी कृपा और दया बरसाओ।"
That devotee began to propitiate Sainath, praying, "O Baba, shower Your grace and mercy upon me."
अर्थ: (उसने प्रार्थना की) "मेरी जीवन-रूपी नौका जो संकटों और तूफानों से घिरी हुई है, उसे केवल आप ही पार लगा सकते हैं।"
(He prayed) "My life's boat, which is tossed by storms and crises, only You can steer it across."
अर्थ: मेरे घर में कुलदीपक (वंश को रोशन करने वाला पुत्र) के बिना गहन अंधकार छाया हुआ है।
Without a 'Kuldeepak' (a son who illuminates the lineage), darkness has enveloped my home.
अर्थ: इसी कारण, हे बाबा, मैं आपकी शरण में आया हूँ, पूर्णतः समर्पित होकर।
For this very reason, O Baba, I have come to you, seeking refuge and surrendering completely.
अर्थ: कुलदीपक (वंश को आगे बढ़ाने वाले पुत्र) के अभाव में, धन-संपत्ति का सारा मोह और वैभव व्यर्थ प्रतीत होता है।
In the absence of a 'Kuldeepak' (a child to carry on the lineage), all the illusion of wealth and prosperity seems utterly meaningless.
अर्थ: आज मैं एक दीन भिखारी बनकर, हे बाबा, आपकी शरण में आया हूँ।
Today, like a humble beggar, O Baba, I have come to seek your refuge.
अर्थ: मुझे पुत्र का दान प्रदान करें, और मैं जीवन भर आपका ऋणी रहूँगा।
Grant me the gift of a son, and I shall remain indebted to you throughout my life.
अर्थ: मुझे किसी और से कोई आशा नहीं है, केवल आप पर ही मेरा पूर्ण विश्वास है।
I have no hope in anyone else; my complete trust is solely in You.
अर्थ: उस भक्त ने अपने शीश को साईं बाबा के चरणों में रखकर अत्यंत नम्रता और भक्तिभाव से बहुत प्रार्थनाएँ कीं।
The devotee, placing their head at Sai Baba's feet, made many humble and devout supplications.
अर्थ: तब साईं बाबा ने उस भक्त की श्रद्धा और समर्पण से प्रसन्न होकर उसे यह विशेष आशीर्वाद प्रदान किया।
Then, pleased by the devotee's faith and surrender, Sai Baba bestowed this special blessing upon them.
अर्थ: बाबा ने भक्त को आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा, "ईश्वर (अल्ला) तुम्हारा कल्याण करेगा, तुम्हारे घर में पुत्र का जन्म होगा।"
Baba blessed the devotee, saying, "God (Allah) will do good for you; a son will be born in your home."
अर्थ: बाबा ने आगे कहा कि उस ईश्वर (अल्ला) की कृपा तुम पर और तुम्हारे उस होने वाले पुत्र पर सदैव बनी रहेगी।
Baba further stated that the grace of that God (Allah) would always remain upon you and your unborn child.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा की असीम कृपा का कोई अंत या सीमा आज तक किसी ने नहीं पाया है।
No one has ever found the limit or boundary of Sai Baba's boundless grace.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा ने एक मद्रासी भक्त को पुत्र रूपी अनमोल रत्न प्रदान कर उसके जीवन को धन्य कर दिया।
Sai Baba blessed a devotee from Madras with the precious jewel of a son, thereby sanctifying his entire life.
अर्थ: जो भक्त तन और मन से पूर्ण श्रद्धा के साथ साईं बाबा का भजन करता है, इस संसार में उसका निश्चित रूप से उद्धार होता है।
The devotee who worships Sai Baba with complete devotion, both physically and mentally, surely attains liberation and upliftment in this world.
अर्थ: सत्य को कभी कोई हानि नहीं पहुँचती, जबकि असत्य की सदैव पराजय होती है।
Truth can never be harmed or scorched, whereas falsehood always meets its defeat.
अर्थ: भक्त कहता है कि मैं सदैव साईं बाबा के ही सहारे रहूँगा और जीवन भर उनका समर्पित दास बना रहूँगा।
The devotee declares, "I shall always rely solely on Sai Baba, and throughout my life, I shall remain His devoted servant."
अर्थ: साईं बाबा जैसा परमेश्वर प्राप्त होना ही क्या कम आशा या सहारा है? यह तो अपने आप में ही सबसे बड़ा आश्रय है।
Is having a Lord like Sai Baba, a divine master, a small hope or support? It is, in itself, the greatest refuge.
अर्थ: मेरे जीवन में भी एक ऐसा समय था, जब मुझे भरपेट भोजन (रोटी) भी नसीब नहीं होता था।
There was a time in my life when I couldn't even get a full meal (bread) to sustain myself.
अर्थ: मेरे शरीर पर पहनने के लिए वस्त्र भी उपलब्ध नहीं थे, केवल एक छोटी सी लंगोटी ही बची थी।
I didn't even have clothes to wear on my body; only a small loincloth remained.
अर्थ: मेरे सामने जीवनदायिनी नदी (अवसर) होते हुए भी, मैं आध्यात्मिक और भौतिक रूप से प्यासा (अतृप्त) ही बना रहा।
Even with a life-giving river (opportunities) before me, I remained spiritually and materially thirsty (unsatisfied).
अर्थ: मेरे बुरे दिन मुझ पर जंगल की आग (दावाग्नी) के समान भीषण कष्ट और विपत्तियाँ बरसा रहे थे।
My hard times were showering upon me severe hardships and calamities, like a raging forest fire.
अर्थ: इस संसार में, धरती के सिवा मेरा कोई अन्य सहारा नहीं था।
In this world, apart from the earth itself, I had no other support.
अर्थ: मैं इस दुनिया में एक भिखारी की तरह दर-दर भटकता और ठोकरें खाता फिरता था।
I wandered in this world like a beggar, facing hardships and rejection at every door.
अर्थ: ऐसी निराशाजनक स्थिति में मुझे एक ऐसा मित्र मिला, जो साईं बाबा का परम भक्त था।
In such a state of despair, I met a friend who was a supreme devotee of Sai Baba.
अर्थ: वह मित्र सांसारिक बंधनों और मोह-माया से मुक्त था, फिर भी इस जगत में उसकी स्थिति भी मेरे जैसी ही थी।
That friend was free from worldly entanglements and illusions, yet in this world, his outward circumstances were similar to mine.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा के पवित्र दर्शन प्राप्त करने के लिए, हम दोनों मित्रों ने मिलकर विचार-विमर्श किया।
To receive the sacred darshan (sight) of Sai Baba, both of us friends deliberated and made a plan.
अर्थ: वे साईं बाबा, जो साक्षात् दया की मूर्ति हैं, उनके पवित्र दर्शन के लिए पूर्णतः तैयार हो गए।
They became fully prepared for the sacred vision (darshan) of Sai Baba, who is the very embodiment of compassion.
अर्थ: पवित्र शिरडी नगर में पहुँचकर, उन्होंने साईं बाबा की मनमोहक और अलौकिक मूर्ति के दर्शन किए।
Reaching the holy town of Shirdi, they beheld the captivating and divine form of Sai Baba.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा के दिव्य स्वरूप के दर्शन मात्र से ही हमारा यह मानव जन्म धन्य और सफल हो गया।
Merely by beholding the divine form of Sai Baba, our human birth became blessed and fulfilled.
अर्थ: जब से हमने साईं बाबा के पवित्र दर्शन किए हैं, तब से हमारे जीवन के समस्त दुःख और कष्ट कपूर की तरह उड़कर अदृश्य हो गए हैं।
Ever since we had the sacred vision of Sai Baba, all the sorrows and sufferings of our life have vanished like camphor.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा के आशीर्वाद से हमारे जीवन के सभी संकट समाप्त हो गए और समस्त विपत्तियों का पूर्णतः अंत हो गया।
By the blessings of Sai Baba, all the crises in our lives were eradicated, and all misfortunes came to a complete end.
अर्थ: हमें बाबा से मान और सम्मान भिक्षा के रूप में प्राप्त हुआ।
We received honor and respect as alms from Baba.
अर्थ: हम साईं बाबा की दिव्य आभा से इस संसार में प्रकाशित हो उठे हैं।
We have become illuminated in this world by Sai's divine radiance.
अर्थ: बाबा ने इस जीवन में हमें सम्मान और प्रतिष्ठा प्रदान की है।
Baba has bestowed honor and respect upon us in this life.
अर्थ: इसी सम्मान और बाबा के सहारे को लेकर मैं जीवन में हँसते हुए आगे बढ़ता रहूँगा।
Taking this honor and Baba's support as my strength, I will continue to move forward in life with a smile.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा की दिव्य लीलाओं का मेरे मन पर ऐसा गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा है।
Sai Baba's divine plays (leelas) have had such a profound effect on my mind.
अर्थ: ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि वे (साई) इस संपूर्ण सृष्टि के प्रत्येक कण में समाए हुए हैं।
It feels as though He (Sai) is pervading every single particle of this entire creation.
अर्थ: काशीराम नामक एक भक्त बाबा (साई) के साथ शिरडी में निवास करता था।
A devotee named Kashiram resided in Shirdi, in the presence of Baba (Sai).
अर्थ: वह (काशीराम) संसार से गर्व से कहता था कि "मैं साई का हूँ और साई मेरे हैं।"
He (Kashiram) would proudly declare to the world, "I belong to Sai, and Sai belongs to me."
अर्थ: वह (काशीराम) स्वयं कपड़े सिलकर, उन्हें गाँवों, नगरों और बाजारों में बेचता था।
He (Kashiram) would stitch clothes himself and sell them in villages, towns, and markets.
अर्थ: उसके हृदय की वीणा (तंत्री) सदैव साई के नाम और उनकी महिमा की झंकारों से गुंजायमान रहती थी।
The strings of his heart (hriday tantri) always vibrated with the echoes of Sai's name and His glory.
अर्थ: रात शांत थी, सभी सो रहे थे, और रात्रि के आँचल में चाँद-सितारे शोभायमान थे।
The night was still and silent, everyone was asleep, and the moon and stars adorned the veil of the night.
अर्थ: अंधकार इतना घना था कि अपने ही हाथ को हाथ भी दिखाई नहीं दे रहा था।
The darkness was so profound that one's own hand was not visible even to itself.
अर्थ: हाय! काशी नामक व्यक्ति बाज़ार से अपने वस्त्र बेचकर लौट रहा था।
Alas! A person named Kashi was returning from the market after selling his clothes.
अर्थ: यह एक बड़ा विचित्र संयोग था कि उस दिन वह अकेला ही लौट रहा था।
It was a strange coincidence that on that particular day, he was returning alone.
अर्थ: रास्ते में उसे कुटिल और अन्यायी लोगों ने घेर लिया।
On the way, wicked and unjust people surrounded him.
अर्थ: उसे 'मारो, काटो, लूटो' - ऐसी ही क्रूर ध्वनि सुनाई दी।
He heard the cruel shouts of "Beat him, cut him, rob him!"
अर्थ: उसे लूट-पीटकर, वे दुष्ट और कपटी लोग वहाँ से भाग गए।
After robbing and beating him, those wicked and deceitful people fled from the scene.
अर्थ: उन गंभीर आघातों से मर्माहत होकर, उसने अपनी चेतना खो दी।
Deeply wounded by those severe blows, he lost his consciousness.
अर्थ: वह बहुत देर तक उसी अचेत और दयनीय अवस्था में वहीं पड़ा रहा।
He lay there for a very long time in that same unconscious and pitiable state.
अर्थ: न जाने कब, उसकी पलकों में थोड़ी चेतना लौटी और उसे कुछ होश आया।
Unbeknownst to him, at some point, a flicker of consciousness returned to his eyelids, and he regained some awareness.
अर्थ: अनजाने में ही उसके मुख से 'साई' नाम निकल पड़ा था।
Unknowingly, the name 'Sai' spontaneously emerged from his mouth.
अर्थ: उस पुकार की प्रतिध्वनि शिरडी में बैठे बाबा साईनाथ को स्पष्ट सुनाई दी।
The echo of that call was clearly heard by Baba Sai Nath, who was in Shirdi.
अर्थ: उस भक्त की पीड़ा सुनकर बाबा का मन अत्यंत व्याकुल हो उठा और वे बेचैन हो गए।
Hearing the devotee's suffering, Baba's mind became deeply disturbed and restless.
अर्थ: उन्हें ऐसा प्रतीत हुआ मानो वह सारी घटना उन्हीं के सामने घटित हो रही हो।
It felt to Him as if the entire incident was unfolding right before His very eyes.
अर्थ: तब बाबा एक उन्मादी व्यक्ति की तरह बेचैन होकर इधर-उधर भटकने लगे।
Then, like a frenzied person, Baba began to wander restlessly here and there.
अर्थ: जो भी वस्तुएँ उनके सम्मुख आईं, बाबा उन्हें ज़ोर-ज़ोर से पटकने लगे।
Whatever objects came before Him, Baba began to forcefully throw them down.
अर्थ: और धधकते हुए अंगारों में भी बाबा ने अपना हाथ डाल दिया।
And into the blazing embers, Baba placed His own hand.
अर्थ: वहाँ उपस्थित सभी लोग बाबा के इस अद्भुत और निराले तांडव नृत्य को देखकर भयभीत और आश्चर्यचकित हो गए।
All those present there became apprehensive and astonished, witnessing His unique and extraordinary 'Tandava' dance.
अर्थ: सभी लोग यह बात समझ गए कि निश्चय ही कोई भक्त किसी बड़े संकट में फँसा हुआ है।
Everyone then understood that surely some devotee was caught in a great crisis.
अर्थ: वहाँ उपस्थित सभी लोग व्याकुल और चिंतित थे, किंतु साथ ही बाबा की इस अद्भुत लीला को देखकर विस्मय में भी डूबे हुए थे।
All those present there were disturbed and anxious, yet simultaneously immersed in wonder at Baba's extraordinary divine play.
अर्थ: उस भक्त को बचाने के लिए, आज बाबा अत्यंत व्याकुल और बेचैन हैं।
To save that very devotee, Baba today is deeply restless and anxious.
अर्थ: उस भक्त की पीड़ा से स्वयं बाबा का अंतःकरण भी पीड़ित और व्यथित है।
Baba's own inner being (heart/soul) is afflicted and distressed by that devotee's suffering.
अर्थ: ठीक उसी क्षण, विधाता (ईश्वर) ने अपनी अद्भुत और विलक्षण लीला का प्रदर्शन किया।
Just at that moment, the Divine (the Creator/Destiny) revealed His wondrous and unique play (miracle).
अर्थ: जिस (चमत्कार) को देखकर जन-जन के हृदय में श्रद्धा की सरिता (नदी) उमड़ पड़ी और प्रवाहित होने लगी।
Witnessing that (miracle), the river of faith surged and flowed in the hearts of the people.
अर्थ: उसी क्षण, एक गाड़ी उस संज्ञाहीन (बेहोश) भक्त को लेकर वहाँ (शिर्डी) आ पहुँची।
At that very moment, a cart arrived there (in Shirdi), carrying the unconscious devotee.
अर्थ: अपने सम्मुख अपने भक्त को देखकर, साईं बाबा की आँखें प्रेम और करुणा से भर आईं।
Seeing his devotee before him, Sai Baba's eyes welled up with love and compassion.
अर्थ: बाबा का अंतःकरण शांत, धैर्यवान और समुद्र के समान गहरा तथा गंभीर था।
Baba's inner self (heart) was calm, patient, and profound, deep like the ocean.
अर्थ: परंतु उस विशेष दिन, न जाने क्यों, उनका (बाबा का) शांत मन बार-बार विचलित और चंचल हो रहा था।
Yet on that particular day, for some unknown reason, His (Baba's) calm mind was repeatedly becoming restless and agitated.
अर्थ: उस दिन, दया की साक्षात् मूर्ति साईं बाबा स्वयं ही उपचारक और सेवा करने वाले बन गए थे।
On that day, Sai Baba, the very embodiment of compassion, Himself became the healer and caregiver.
अर्थ: और उस दिन, अपने भक्त के लिए, वे स्वयं देवता बनकर द्वारपाल (रक्षक) के रूप में खड़े थे।
And on that day, for His devotee, He Himself became a deity standing as a doorkeeper (protector).
अर्थ: आज भक्ति की कठिन परीक्षा में काशी नामक भक्त सफल हुए थे।
Today, in the arduous test of devotion, the devotee Kashi had succeeded.
अर्थ: उन्हीं (काशी) के दर्शनों के लिए नगर के सभी निवासी उमड़ पड़े थे।
For the sake of having his (Kashi's) darshan, the townspeople had gathered in large numbers.
अर्थ: जब भी और कहीं भी कोई भक्त किसी संकट या विपत्ति में पड़ जाता है।
Whenever and wherever any devotee falls into trouble or distress.
अर्थ: उसकी रक्षा करने के लिए बाबा तुरंत, पलभर में ही पहुँच जाते हैं।
To protect that devotee, Baba arrives instantly, in a moment.
अर्थ: यह बात युगों-युगों से चली आ रही एक शाश्वत सत्य है, कोई नई कहानी नहीं है।
This is an eternal truth that has existed for ages, not some new story.
अर्थ: जब भक्त संकट में होता है, तब अंतर्यामी साई स्वयं उसकी सहायता के लिए पहुँच जाते हैं।
When a devotee is afflicted by distress, the all-knowing Sai himself comes to their aid.
अर्थ: साई बाबा किसी भी प्रकार के भेदभाव से ऊपर थे; वे तो मानवता के सच्चे पुजारी थे।
Sai Baba was beyond all forms of discrimination; he was a true worshipper of humanity itself.
अर्थ: जिस प्रकार हिन्दू और मुस्लिम उन्हें प्रिय थे, उसी प्रकार सिख और ईसाई भी उनके लिए समान रूप से प्यारे थे।
Just as Hindus and Muslims were dear to him, so too were Sikhs and Christians equally beloved.
अर्थ: बाबा साई ने मंदिर और मस्जिद के बीच के सभी भेदभाव और विभाजन को समाप्त कर दिया।
Baba Sai completely dismantled all discrimination and division between temples and mosques.
अर्थ: राम, रहीम, कृष्ण, करीम और अल्लाह - ये सभी नाम उनके लिए एक ही परमेश्वर के विभिन्न रूप थे।
Ram, Rahim, Krishna, Kareem, and Allah – all these names represented different forms of the same Supreme Being for him.
अर्थ: मस्जिद का प्रत्येक कोना, घंटे की पवित्र ध्वनि से गुंजायमान हो उठा।
Every corner of the mosque resonated with the sacred echoes of bells.
अर्थ: हिन्दू और मुस्लिम भक्त परस्पर प्रेम और सद्भाव से मिले, जिससे उनके बीच का प्रेम दिन-प्रतिदिन दुगुना बढ़ता गया।
Hindus and Muslims met each other with mutual affection and harmony, and their love for one another grew twofold day by day.
अर्थ: बाबा के इस नश्वर शरीर ने कितने अद्भुत और सुंदर चमत्कारों का परिचय दिया।
How beautiful were the miracles that this physical form of Baba manifested and introduced to the world.
अर्थ: बाबा ने नीम के वृक्ष की स्वाभाविक कड़वाहट में भी अपनी कृपा से मिठास भर दी।
Baba, through his grace, filled even the inherent bitterness of the neem tree with sweetness.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा ने सभी को समान रूप से स्नेह दिया और सब पर संतुलित प्रेम बरसाया।
Sai Baba bestowed affection upon everyone equally and showered balanced love upon all.
अर्थ: जिसने भी जो कुछ भी सच्चे हृदय से चाहा, बाबा साईनाथ ने उसे वही प्रदान किया।
Whatever anyone desired with a true heart, Baba Sai Nath granted them exactly that.
अर्थ: ऐसे प्रेममय और कृपापात्र साईबाबा का नाम जो भक्त निरंतर जपता है।
The devotee who constantly chants the name of such a loving and compassionate Sai Baba.
अर्थ: उसके पर्वत के समान बड़े से बड़े दुःख भी पल भर में दूर हो जाते हैं।
Even mountain-like sorrows, no matter how immense, vanish in an instant for that devotee.
अर्थ: साईबाबा जैसा महान दानी और उदार मैंने आज तक कोई नहीं देखा।
I have never seen a great giver and benevolent soul like Sai Baba.
अर्थ: जिनके मात्र दर्शन करने से ही भक्तों की सारी विपत्तियाँ और कष्ट दूर हो जाते हैं।
By merely having a glimpse (darshan) of whom, all the calamities and sufferings of devotees are dispelled.
अर्थ: अपने तन और मन में साई को स्थापित कर, निरंतर साई-साई का भजन करो।
Establish Sai in your body and mind, and continuously chant "Sai-Sai".
अर्थ: अपने शरीर और सांसारिक चेतना की सुध-बुध त्यागकर, केवल साई की ही सुधि (स्मरण) किया करो।
Forgetting the awareness and concerns of your own body and worldly consciousness, remember only Sai.
अर्थ: जब तुम अपनी व्यक्तिगत चेतना और सांसारिक मोह को त्यागकर, केवल बाबा (साई) का ही स्मरण करोगे।
When you abandon your personal consciousness and worldly attachments, and remember only Baba (Sai).
अर्थ: और दिन-रात निरंतर 'बाबा-बाबा' नाम का ही जाप करते रहोगे।
And you will continuously chant "Baba-Baba" day and night.
अर्थ: तब तो बाबा को विवश होकर तुम्हारी सुध (देखभाल) लेनी ही पड़ेगी।
Then, O! Baba will be compelled to take care of you.
अर्थ: बाबा को तुम्हारी प्रत्येक इच्छा अवश्य पूरी करनी होगी।
Baba will surely fulfill your every desire.
अर्थ: हे भक्त! बाबा को खोजने के लिए जंगल-जंगल में पागल की तरह मत भटको।
O devotee! Do not wander madly through forests searching for Baba.
अर्थ: तुम बाबा को केवल शिरडी में ही अनुभव कर पाओगे।
You will experience Baba only in Shirdi.
अर्थ: इस संसार में वह प्राणी धन्य है, जिसने साईं बाबा को अपने जीवन में प्राप्त किया है।
Blessed is that being in this world who has found Sai Baba in their life.
अर्थ: जो सुख और दुःख, दोनों ही परिस्थितियों में, दिन के आठों प्रहर (हर समय) साईं बाबा का ही गुणगान करता है।
One who, in both joy and sorrow, throughout all eight 'prahar' (all day and night), sings the praises of Sai Baba.
अर्थ: चाहे विपत्तियों के पहाड़ टूट पड़ें, या आकाश से बिजली भी गिर जाए।
Even if mountains of calamities collapse, or lightning strikes from the sky.
अर्थ: तुम सदैव साईं का नाम लेकर, हर परिस्थिति का दृढ़ता से सामना करो।
Always chant Sai's name, and stand firm in the face of all challenges.
अर्थ: इस वृद्ध साईं बाबा के चमत्कारों को सुनकर तुम आश्चर्यचकित हो जाओगे।
Upon hearing the miraculous deeds of this old Baba (Sai), you will be astonished.
अर्थ: जिन्हें सुनकर न जाने कितने ही बुद्धिमान और ज्ञानी जन भी चकित रह गए।
Hearing which, countless intelligent and wise individuals were left astounded.
अर्थ: एक बार शिरडी में एक पाखंडी साधु आया था।
Once, a hypocritical (fake) sadhu came to Shirdi.
अर्थ: (कोई छली) भोली-भाली नगर की जनता को भ्रमित कर रहा था।
(A deceiver) was misleading the innocent townspeople.
अर्थ: वह (छली) उन्हें जड़ी-बूटियाँ दिखाकर भाषण देने लगा।
He (the deceiver) began lecturing them, displaying various herbs.
अर्थ: वह (छली) कहने लगा, "हे श्रोताओं, सुनो, मेरा घर तो वृन्दावन है।"
He (the deceiver) declared, "Listen, O listeners, my home is Vrindavan."
अर्थ: वह (छली) कहने लगा कि मेरे पास एक ऐसी औषधि है जिसमें अद्भुत शक्ति है।
He (the deceiver) claimed, "I possess a medicine with astonishing power."
अर्थ: (वह कहता था कि) इसके सेवन मात्र से ही सभी दुखों से मुक्ति मिल जाती है।
(He claimed that) merely by consuming it, one attains liberation from all sorrows.
अर्थ: यदि आप संकटों और रोगों से मुक्ति पाना चाहते हैं।
If you desire liberation from troubles and illnesses.
अर्थ: तो यह मेरा विनम्र निवेदन है, प्रत्येक पुरुष और प्रत्येक नारी से।
Then this is my humble request to every man and every woman.
अर्थ: इसे (साईं नाम/भक्ति रूपी औषधि को) तुम ग्रहण करो, इसके सेवन की विधियाँ अत्यंत विलक्षण हैं।
Acquire this (the medicine of Sai's name/devotion); its methods of consumption are unique.
अर्थ: यद्यपि यह (साईं नाम/भक्ति रूपी औषधि) देखने में सामान्य प्रतीत होती है, परंतु इसके गुण अत्यंत महान और प्रभावशाली हैं।
Although this (the medicine of Sai's name/devotion) appears insignificant, its virtues are immensely profound and powerful.
अर्थ: जो भी यहाँ संतानहीन है, यदि वह मेरी (साईं बाबा की) इस औषधि का सेवन करे।
If anyone here who is childless consumes this medicine of mine (Sai Baba's).
अर्थ: उसे पुत्र-रत्न की प्राप्ति होती है, और वह अपने मनचाहे फल को प्राप्त करता है।
One obtains the precious jewel of a son, and receives all desired fruits.
अर्थ: जो मेरी (साईं की) दी हुई यह आध्यात्मिक औषधि ग्रहण नहीं करेगा, वह जीवन भर पछताएगा।
Whoever does not accept this spiritual medicine offered by me (Sai), will regret it throughout their life.
अर्थ: मेरे जैसा (साईं बाबा जैसा) दिव्य प्राणी शायद ही फिर कभी इस धरती पर अवतरित हो पाएगा।
A divine being like me (Sai Baba) will perhaps rarely incarnate on this earth again.
अर्थ: यह संसार तो दो दिन का मेला है, अतः तुम भी (साईं की भक्ति में) आनंद और संतोष प्राप्त कर लो।
This world is but a fleeting fair of two days; therefore, you too should find joy and contentment (in devotion to Sai).
अर्थ: यदि इस (साईं की भक्ति और कृपा) से सब कुछ प्राप्त होता है, तो तुम भी इसे सहर्ष स्वीकार कर लो।
If everything can be attained through this (devotion and grace of Sai), then you too should gladly accept it.
अर्थ: उसकी अद्भुत लीलाओं और कार्यों को देखकर जनता का आश्चर्य बढ़ता ही गया।
Witnessing His wondrous divine plays and actions, the public's astonishment continued to grow.
अर्थ: लोगों की अज्ञानता और सांसारिक मोह को देखकर वे (साईं बाबा) मन ही मन प्रसन्न होते थे।
Witnessing the people's innocence and worldly attachments, He (Sai Baba) was secretly pleased within His heart.
अर्थ: यह महत्वपूर्ण समाचार बाबा को सुनाने के लिए, एक भक्त सेवक दौड़कर उनके पास पहुँचा।
To convey this important news to Baba, a devoted servant ran to Him.
अर्थ: उस समाचार को सुनकर बाबा की भृकुटी तन गई और क्षण भर के लिए उनका शांत विवेक भी विस्मृत हो गया।
Upon hearing that news, Baba's brows furrowed, and for a moment, even His calm wisdom seemed to be forgotten.
अर्थ: उन्होंने तुरंत सेवक को आदेश दिया कि उस दुष्ट व्यक्ति को शीघ्र पकड़कर उनके सामने लाया जाए।
He immediately commanded the servant to quickly apprehend that wicked person and bring him before Him.
अर्थ: अथवा शिरडी की सीमा से कपटी व्यक्ति को दूर भगा दो।
Or, from the borders of Shirdi, drive away the deceitful one.
अर्थ: मेरे रहते हुए, शिरडी की भोली-भाली जनता को।
While I am present, the innocent people of Shirdi.
अर्थ: ऐसा कौन नीच व्यक्ति है जो उन्हें छलने का साहस कर सकता है?
Who is such a vile person who dares to deceive them?
अर्थ: ऐसे ढोंगी, कपटी, नीच और लुटेरे व्यक्ति को पलभर में।
Such a hypocritical, deceitful, vile, and thieving person, in an instant.
अर्थ: मैं जीवन भर के लिए महाविनाश के गहरे गर्त में पहुँचा दूँगा।
I will cast them into the great abyss of utter destruction for their entire life.
अर्थ: उस क्रूर, कुटिल और अन्यायी मदारी को (अपनी करनी का) थोड़ा-सा आभास हो गया।
That cruel, cunning, and unjust trickster (or oppressor) received a slight inkling (of the consequences of his actions).
अर्थ: उसे यह आभास हुआ कि अब उसके सिर पर काल नाच रहा है, क्योंकि साई बाबा को क्रोध आ गया था।
He realized that death was now dancing over his head, for Sai Baba had become enraged.
अर्थ: उसने पल भर में अपने सारे खेल बंद कर दिए और जान बचाने के लिए सिर पर पैर रखकर भाग गया।
In an instant, he stopped all his tricks and fled, running for his life (literally, 'placing feet on his head').
अर्थ: वह मन ही मन सोच रहा था कि अब उसकी खैर नहीं, भगवान ही उसे बचाएँ तो बचाएँ।
He was thinking to himself that he was beyond help now, and only God could save him.
अर्थ: यह सत्य है कि इस संसार में साई बाबा जैसा कोई दूसरा दानी (दाता) मिलना असंभव है।
It is true that a benefactor (giver) like Sai Baba cannot be found anywhere else in this world.
अर्थ: साई बाबा ईश्वर के अंश हैं, उनके लिए इस संसार में कुछ भी कठिन नहीं है।
Sai Baba is an embodiment of the Divine; nothing in this world is difficult for Him.
अर्थ: जो प्रेम, सदाचार, और सौम्यता जैसे गुणों को अपने आभूषण के रूप में धारण करता है।
One who adorns themselves with virtues like love, good conduct, and gentleness as their ornaments.
अर्थ: और इस संसार में जो भी व्यक्ति मानव सेवा के पवित्र मार्ग पर आगे बढ़ता है।
And whoever progresses in this world on the sacred path of human service.
अर्थ: वही इस संसार के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के हृदय को जीत लेता है।
Such a person wins the innermost hearts of every individual in this world.
अर्थ: ऐसे महापुरुष की थोड़ी-सी उदासी भी पूरे संसार को व्याकुल कर देती है।
Even a slight sadness of such a great soul makes the entire world restless.
अर्थ: जब-जब इस संसार में अधर्म और पाप का बोझ अत्यधिक बढ़ जाता है।
Whenever the burden of sin and unrighteousness excessively increases in this world.
अर्थ: उस पाप के भार को समाप्त करने के लिए, स्वयं कोई अवतारी पुरुष ही इस धरा पर आता है।
To eradicate that burden of sin, an incarnated divine being Himself descends upon this Earth.
अर्थ: वह अवतारी पुरुष इस संसार से समस्त पापों और अन्याय को हर लेता है।
That incarnated being removes all sins and injustice from this world.
अर्थ: वह संसार के दानवी शक्तियों और दुष्टता को पल भर में दूर भगा देता है।
He instantly drives away the demonic forces and evil from the world.
अर्थ: तब इस संसार में प्रेम और अमृतमयी कृपा की धारा बरसने लगती है।
Then, a stream of love and nectar-like grace begins to shower upon this world.
अर्थ: सभी लोग आपस में प्रेम और सौहार्द से गले मिलने लगते हैं।
People begin to embrace each other with mutual love and harmony.
अर्थ: ऐसे अवतार स्वरूप साई बाबा ने इस नश्वर मृत्युलोक में आकर।
Such an incarnate Sai Baba, by descending into this mortal world.
अर्थ: उन्होंने अपना अहंकार मिटाकर सभी को समानता और समभाव का यह महान पाठ पढ़ाया।
He taught everyone this great lesson of equality and equanimity by dissolving His own ego.
अर्थ: शिरडी में अपनी मस्जिद का नाम साई बाबा ने 'द्वारकामाई' रखा।
Sai Baba named His mosque in Shirdi as 'Dwarkamai'.
अर्थ: जो भी भक्त साई बाबा के पास आया, उन्होंने उसके दैहिक, दैविक और भौतिक तीनों प्रकार के दुखों, कष्टों और संतापों को मिटा दिया।
Whoever came to Sai Baba, He removed all their physical, divine, and material sorrows, afflictions, and distress.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा सदैव भगवान राम की पावन स्मृति में लीन, आनंदित बैठे रहते थे।
Sai Baba always remained seated, absorbed and blissful in the sacred remembrance of Lord Rama.
अर्थ: साईं बाबा दिन-रात, अष्ट प्रहर (चौबीसों घंटे) केवल राम नाम का ही भजन करते रहते थे।
Sai Baba continuously chanted the name of Rama, day and night, for all eight 'pahars' (twenty-four hours).
अर्थ: चाहे भोजन सूखा, रूखा, ताजा, बासी हो, अथवा स्वादिष्ट पकवान हो।
Whether the food was dry, plain, fresh, stale, or even a delicious delicacy.
अर्थ: प्रेम के भूखे साईं बाबा के लिए, सभी प्रकार के भोजन समान थे, क्योंकि वे केवल भक्तों के प्रेम और श्रद्धा को ही स्वीकार करते थे।
For Sai Baba, who hungered only for love, all types of food were equal, as He accepted only the love and devotion of His devotees.
अर्थ: भक्तजन अपने स्नेह और अटूट श्रद्धा से जो कुछ भी साईं बाबा को अर्पित करते थे।
Whatever the devotees offered to Sai Baba with their affection and unwavering faith.
अर्थ: बाबा साईं उस भोजन को अत्यंत प्रेम और श्रद्धा से स्वीकार कर उसे पवित्र कर देते थे।
With immense love and devotion, Baba Sai would accept that food and sanctify it.
अर्थ: कभी-कभी अपने मन को प्रसन्न करने और प्रकृति का सान्निध्य पाने के लिए बाबा बाग में जाया करते थे।
Sometimes, to gladden His heart and be in the company of nature, Baba would go to the garden.
अर्थ: वे अत्यंत प्रसन्न मन से प्रकृति की अनुपम सुंदरता और उसकी दिव्य छटा का अवलोकन करते थे।
With a supremely joyful heart, He would behold the unparalleled beauty and divine splendor of nature.
अर्थ: बाग के रंग-बिरंगे पुष्प, अपनी धीमी और कोमल गति से हिलते हुए, मन को मोह लेते थे।
The colorful flowers of the garden, swaying gently and softly, would captivate the mind.
अर्थ: (बाबा की कृपा से) यहाँ तक कि सूखे और वीरान मन में भी प्रेम का पवित्र जल भर जाता था।
(By Baba's grace) Even in a barren and desolate heart, the sacred water of love would fill up.
अर्थ: ऐसी परम मधुर वेला में भी, दुख, संकट और विपत्तियों से पीड़ित लोग।
Even in such a supremely sweet and auspicious time, people afflicted by sorrow, calamity, and misfortune.
अर्थ: अपने मन की पीड़ा और व्यथा सुनाने के लिए, भक्तगण बाबा को घेरे रहते थे।
To narrate the anguish and suffering of their hearts, devotees would surround Baba.
अर्थ: जिनकी करुण कथाओं को सुनकर, बाबा के कमल जैसे नेत्रों में अश्रु भर आते थे।
Hearing their piteous tales of sorrow, Baba's lotus-like eyes would fill with tears.
अर्थ: उन्हें पवित्र विभूति देकर, बाबा उनकी हर व्यथा को हर लेते थे और उनके हृदय में शांति भर देते थे।
By giving them sacred ash (Udi), Baba would remove all their suffering and fill their hearts with peace.
अर्थ: पता नहीं उस पवित्र विभूति (उदी) में कैसी अद्भुत शक्ति समाहित थी।
Who knows what wondrous power was contained within that sacred ash (Udi).
अर्थ: जो भक्त इसे अपने मस्तक पर धारण करते थे, उनके सारे दुःख दूर हो जाते थे।
Whoever applied it on their forehead, all their sorrows would be removed.
अर्थ: वे मनुष्य धन्य हैं जिन्होंने साई बाबा के साक्षात दर्शन प्राप्त किए।
Blessed are those individuals who received the direct vision (darshan) of Sai Baba.
अर्थ: धन्य हैं वे कमल जैसे हाथ जिन्होंने साई बाबा के चरण-कमलों का स्पर्श किया।
Blessed are those lotus-like hands that touched Sai Baba's lotus feet.
अर्थ: काश तुम्हें भी निर्भय होकर साई बाबा के साक्षात दर्शन प्राप्त हो जाते।
If only you too could fearlessly attain the direct vision of Sai Baba.
अर्थ: (यदि ऐसा होता) तो वर्षों से उजड़ा हुआ अपना जीवन-चमन आज फिर से खिल उठता।
(If that were to happen) then my life's garden, desolate for years, would blossom anew today.
अर्थ: यदि मैं श्री साईं के पवित्र चरणों को एक बार पकड़ लेता, तो उन्हें जीवन भर कभी नहीं छोड़ता।
If I were to grasp the holy feet of Shri Sai, I would never let go of them for my entire life.
अर्थ: यदि साईं बाबा कभी मुझसे रूठ भी जाते, तो मैं उन्हें अवश्य मना लेता।
Even if Sai Baba were to become displeased with me, I would surely appease Him and win Him back.
अर्थ: समस्त सृष्टि का स्वामी, सबका पालनहार, केवल एक ही है।
The Master of all creation, the Sustainer of everyone, is but one.
