जयति जयति जय ललिते माता। तव गुण महिमा है विख्याता॥
तू सुन्दरी, त्रिपुरेश्वरी देवी। सुर नर मुनि तेरे पद सेवी॥
तू कल्याणी कष्ट निवारिणी। तू सुख दायिनी, विपदा हारिणी॥
मोह विनाशिनी दैत्य नाशिनी। भक्त भाविनी ज्योति प्रकाशिनी॥
आदि शक्ति श्री विद्या रूपा। चक्र स्वामिनी देह अनूपा॥
हृदय निवासिनी-भक्त तारिणी। नाना कष्ट विपति दल हारिणी॥
दश विद्या है रुप तुम्हारा। श्री चन्द्रेश्वरी नैमिष प्यारा॥
धूमा, बगला, भैरवी, तारा। भुवनेश्वरी, कमला, विस्तारा॥
षोडशी, छिन्न्मस्ता, मातंगी। ललितेशक्ति तुम्हारी संगी॥
ललिते तुम हो ज्योतित भाला। भक्त जनों का काम संभाला॥
भारी संकट जब-जब आये। उनसे तुमने भक्त बचाए॥
जिसने कृपा तुम्हारी पायी। उसकी सब विधि से बन आयी॥
संकट दूर करो माँ भारी। भक्त जनों को आस तुम्हारी॥
त्रिपुरेश्वरी, शैलजा, भवानी। जय जय जय शिव की महारानी॥
योग सिद्दि पावें सब योगी। भोगें भोग महा सुख भोगी॥
कृपा तुम्हारी पाके माता। जीवन सुखमय है बन जाता॥
दुखियों को तुमने अपनाया। महा मूढ़ जो शरण न आया॥
तुमने जिसकी ओर निहारा। मिली उसे सम्पत्ति, सुख सारा॥
आदि शक्ति जय त्रिपुर प्यारी। महाशक्ति जय जय, भय हारी॥
कुल योगिनी, कुण्डलिनी रूपा। लीला ललिते करें अनूपा॥
महा-महेश्वरी, महा शक्ति दे। त्रिपुर-सुन्दरी सदा भक्ति दे॥
महा महा-नन्दे कल्याणी। मूकों को देती हो वाणी॥
इच्छा-ज्ञान-क्रिया का भागी। होता तब सेवा अनुरागी॥
जो ललिते तेरा गुण गावे। उसे न कोई कष्ट सतावे॥
सर्व मंगले ज्वाला-मालिनी। तुम हो सर्व शक्ति संचालिनी॥
आया माँ जो शरण तुम्हारी। विपदा हरी उसी की सारी॥
नामा कर्षिणी, चिन्ता कर्षिणी। सर्व मोहिनी सब सुख-वर्षिणी॥
महिमा तव सब जग विख्याता। तुम हो दयामयी जग माता॥
सब सौभाग्य दायिनी ललिता। तुम हो सुखदा करुणा कलिता॥
आनन्द, सुख, सम्पत्ति देती हो। कष्ट भयानक हर लेती हो॥
मन से जो जन तुमको ध्यावे। वह तुरन्त मन वांछित पावे॥
लक्ष्मी, दुर्गा तुम हो काली। तुम्हीं शारदा चक्र-कपाली॥
मूलाधार, निवासिनी जय जय। सहस्रार गामिनी माँ जय जय॥
छः चक्रों को भेदने वाली। करती हो सबकी रखवाली॥
योगी, भोगी, क्रोधी, कामी। सब हैं सेवक सब अनुगामी॥
सबको पार लगाती हो माँ। सब पर दया दिखाती हो माँ॥
हेमावती, उमा, ब्रह्माणी। भण्डासुर कि हृदय विदारिणी॥
सर्व विपति हर, सर्वाधारे। तुमने कुटिल कुपंथी तारे॥
चन्द्र- धारिणी, नैमिश्वासिनी। कृपा करो ललिते अधनाशिनी॥
भक्त जनों को दरस दिखाओ। संशय भय सब शीघ्र मिटाओ॥
जो कोई पढ़े ललिता चालीसा। होवे सुख आनन्द अधीसा॥
जिस पर कोई संकट आवे। पाठ करे संकट मिट जावे॥
ध्यान लगा पढ़े इक्कीस बारा। पूर्ण मनोरथ होवे सारा॥
पुत्र-हीन संतति सुख पावे। निर्धन धनी बने गुण गावे॥
इस विधि पाठ करे जो कोई। दुःख बन्धन छूटे सुख होई॥
जितेन्द्र चन्द्र भारतीय बतावें। पढ़ें चालीसा तो सुख पावें॥
सबसे लघु उपाय यह जानो। सिद्ध होय मन में जो ठानो॥
ललिता करे हृदय में बासा। सिद्दि देत ललिता चालीसा॥

ललिते माँ अब कृपा करो, सिद्ध करो सब काम।
श्रद्धा से सिर नाय करे, करते तुम्हें प्रणाम॥

ananada, sukha, samapatati detee ho। kashata bhayaanaka hara letee ho॥
mana se jo jana tumako dhayaave। vaha turanata mana vaanchhita paave॥
lakshamee, duragaa tuma ho kaalee। tumaheen shaaradaa chakara-kapaalee॥
moolaadhaara, nivaasinee jaya jaya। sahasaraara gaaminee maan jaya jaya॥
chhah chakaron ko bhedane vaalee। karatee ho sabakee rakhavaalee॥
yogee, bhogee, karodhee, kaamee। saba hain sevaka saba anugaamee॥
sabako paara lagaatee ho maan। saba para dayaa dikhaatee ho maan॥
hemaavatee, umaa, barahamaanee। bhanadaasura ki haridaya vidaarinee॥
sarava vipati hara, saravaadhaare। tumane kutila kupanthee taare॥
chanadara- dhaarinee, naimishavaasinee। karipaa karo lalite adhanaashinee॥
bhakata janon ko darasa dikhao। sanshaya bhaya saba sheeghara mitao॥
jo koee padhe lalitaa chaaleesaa। hove sukha ananada adheesaa॥
jisa para koee sankata ave। paatha kare sankata mita jaave॥
dhayaana lagaa padhe ikakeesa baaraa। poorana manoratha hove saaraa॥
putra-heena santati sukha paave। niradhana dhanee bane guna gaave॥
isa vidhi paatha kare jo koee। duhkha banadhana chhoote sukha hoee॥
jitenadara chanadara bhaarateeya bataaven। padhen chaaleesaa to sukha paaven॥
sabase laghu upaaya yaha jaano। sidadha hoya mana men jo thaano॥
lalitaa kare haridaya men baasaa। sidadi deta lalitaa chaaleesaa॥

lalite maan aba karipaa karo, sidadha karo saba kaama।
shradadhaa se sira naaya kare, karate tumahen paranaama॥
अर्थ: हे माँ ललिता, आपकी जय हो, जय हो! आपके गुण और महिमा तीनों लोकों में विख्यात हैं।
Victory, victory, victory to Mother Lalita! Your virtues and glory are renowned throughout the worlds.
अर्थ: आप परम सुन्दरी और त्रिपुरेश्वरी देवी हैं। देवता, मनुष्य और ऋषि-मुनि सभी आपके चरणों की सेवा करते हैं।
You are the supremely beautiful Tripureshwari Devi. Gods, humans, and sages all serve at your divine feet.
अर्थ: आप कल्याण करने वाली, सभी कष्टों का निवारण करने वाली हैं। आप सुख प्रदान करने वाली और समस्त विपत्तियों को हरने वाली हैं।
You are the benevolent one who removes all suffering. You are the giver of happiness and the dispeller of all calamities.
अर्थ: आप मोह का नाश करने वाली और दैत्यों का संहार करने वाली हैं। आप भक्तों के हृदय में निवास करती हैं और दिव्य ज्योति का प्रकाश करती हैं।
You are the destroyer of delusion and the annihilator of demons. You reside in the hearts of devotees and illuminate them with divine light.
अर्थ: आप आदि शक्ति हैं और श्रीविद्या के स्वरूप में प्रकट होती हैं। आप सभी चक्रों की स्वामिनी हैं और आपका दिव्य शरीर अनुपम है।
You are the Primordial Power, manifesting as Shri Vidya. You are the mistress of all chakras, and your divine form is unparalleled.
अर्थ: हे माँ, आप भक्तों के हृदय में निवास करती हैं, उन्हें भवसागर से तारती हैं, और उनके अनेक कष्टों व विपत्तियों के समूह को हर लेती हैं।
O Mother, You reside in the hearts of Your devotees, liberating them from the ocean of existence, and removing their multitude of sufferings and calamities.
अर्थ: दस महाविद्याएँ आपका ही विराट रूप हैं। आप नैमिषारण्य की प्रिय देवी श्री चन्द्रेश्वरी के रूप में भी पूजित हैं।
The ten Mahavidyas are Your grand forms. You are also revered as the beloved Goddess Chandreshwari of Naimisharanya.
अर्थ: धूमावती, बगलामुखी, भैरवी, तारा, भुवनेश्वरी और कमला - ये सभी आपकी ही शक्ति के विस्तार हैं।
Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Bhairavi, Tara, Bhuvaneshwari, and Kamala – all these are expansions of Your divine power.
अर्थ: षोडशी, छिन्नमस्ता और मातंगी भी आपकी ही ललिता शक्ति के अभिन्न अंग हैं।
Shodashi, Chinnamasta, and Matangi are also integral parts of Your Lalita Shakti.
अर्थ: हे ललिता माँ, आप तेजस्वी प्रकाश पुंज के समान हैं, और आप अपने भक्तजनों के सभी कार्यों का भार स्वयं सँभालती हैं।
O Mother Lalita, You are like a radiant spear of light, and You personally take charge of all the endeavors of Your devotees.
अर्थ: जब-जब भक्तों पर घोर संकट आए हैं, तब-तब हे माँ, आपने ही उन्हें उन विपत्तियों से बचाया है।
Whenever severe calamities have befallen your devotees, O Mother, you alone have rescued them from those adversities.
अर्थ: जिसने भी आपकी असीम कृपा प्राप्त की है, उसके सभी कार्य, हर प्रकार से, सहज ही सिद्ध हो गए हैं।
Whoever has received your boundless grace, all their endeavors have effortlessly come to fruition in every possible way.
अर्थ: हे माँ, हमारे ऊपर आए हुए इन घोर संकटों को दूर कीजिए, क्योंकि आपके भक्तजनों को केवल आपसे ही आशा और सहारा है।
O Mother, please remove these severe troubles that have befallen us, for your devotees place all their hope and reliance solely upon you.
अर्थ: आप त्रिपुरेश्वरी, शैलजा (पर्वतराज की पुत्री) और भवानी (भगवान शिव की शक्ति) हैं। हे शिव की महारानी, आपकी बारंबार जय हो!
You are Tripureshvari, Shailaja (daughter of the mountain king), and Bhavani (the power of Lord Shiva). Hail, hail, hail to the great Queen of Shiva!
अर्थ: आपकी कृपा से सभी योगी योग-सिद्धियाँ प्राप्त करते हैं, और जो सांसारिक सुखों के अभिलाषी हैं, वे भी महान सुखों का उपभोग करते हैं।
By your grace, all yogis attain yogic perfections (siddhis), and those who desire worldly pleasures also enjoy great happiness.
अर्थ: हे माता, आपकी कृपा प्राप्त करके (या पाकर), जीवन सुखमय बन जाता है।
O Mother, by receiving your divine grace, life becomes filled with supreme happiness and contentment.
अर्थ: हे माँ, आपने सभी दुखियों को अपनी शरण में अपनाया है। वह व्यक्ति अत्यंत मूर्ख है जो आपकी शरण में नहीं आता।
O Mother, you have embraced all those who are suffering. Truly foolish is the one who does not seek refuge in your divine presence.
अर्थ: हे माँ, जिस किसी पर भी आपने अपनी कृपा-दृष्टि डाली है, उसे समस्त धन-संपत्ति और संपूर्ण सुख प्राप्त हुआ है।
O Mother, upon whomever you cast your benevolent gaze, that person receives all wealth, prosperity, and complete happiness.
अर्थ: आदि शक्ति, प्रिय त्रिपुरा सुंदरी की जय हो! भय का हरण करने वाली महाशक्ति की जय-जयकार हो!
Victory to the Primordial Power, the beloved Tripura Sundari! All glory to the Great Power who dispels all fears!
अर्थ: हे ललिता माँ, आप कुल योगिनी और कुण्डलिनी शक्ति का स्वरूप हैं। आपकी लीलाएँ (दिव्य क्रीड़ाएँ) अनुपम और अद्वितीय हैं।
O Mother Lalita, you are the embodiment of the Kul Yogini and the Kundalini Shakti. Your divine plays (leelas) are unparalleled and unique.
अर्थ: हे महा-महेश्वरी (महान ईश्वरी), हमें असीम शक्ति प्रदान करें। हे त्रिपुर-सुन्दरी (तीनों लोकों में परम सुंदरी), हमें सदैव आपकी अनन्य भक्ति प्रदान करें।
O Maha-Maheshwari (the Great Goddess), grant us immense power. O Tripura-Sundari (the supremely beautiful one of the three worlds), bestow upon us constant and unwavering devotion to You.
अर्थ: हे महान आनंद स्वरूपिणी, हे परम कल्याणी माँ, आप मूक (बोलने में असमर्थ) व्यक्तियों को भी वाणी प्रदान करती हैं।
O You who are the embodiment of supreme bliss, O most auspicious Mother, You bestow the gift of speech even upon the mute.
अर्थ: आपकी कृपा से ही भक्त इच्छा शक्ति, ज्ञान शक्ति और क्रिया शक्ति का अधिकारी बनता है, और तभी वह आपकी सेवा में अनुरक्त (लीन) हो पाता है।
It is only by Your grace that a devotee becomes endowed with the power of will (Ichha Shakti), knowledge (Gyaan Shakti), and action (Kriya Shakti), and only then can they become deeply devoted to Your service.
अर्थ: हे ललिता माँ, जो भी भक्त आपके गुणों का गान करता है, उसे किसी भी प्रकार का कष्ट या दुख नहीं सताता।
O Mother Lalita, any devotee who sings Your praises will not be troubled by any kind of suffering or distress.
अर्थ: हे सर्व मंगलकारी माँ, हे ज्वाला-मालिनी (तेजस्वी माला धारण करने वाली), आप ही समस्त शक्तियों को संचालित करने वाली हैं।
O Mother, who bestows all auspiciousness, O Jwala-Malini (one adorned with a garland of flames), You are the controller and operator of all powers.
अर्थ: हे माँ, जो भी आपकी शरण में आया, आपने उसकी सारी विपदाएँ हर लीं।
O Mother, whoever sought refuge in You, You removed all their calamities.
अर्थ: आप नाम को आकर्षित करने वाली, चिंताओं को हरने वाली, सबको मोहित करने वाली और सभी सुखों की वर्षा करने वाली हैं।
You attract the divine name, remove worries, enchant everyone, and shower all forms of happiness.
अर्थ: आपकी महिमा पूरे संसार में विख्यात है। आप दया से परिपूर्ण जगत जननी हैं।
Your glory is renowned throughout the entire world. You are the compassionate Mother of the universe.
अर्थ: हे ललिता, आप सभी प्रकार के सौभाग्य प्रदान करने वाली हैं। आप सुख देने वाली और करुणा से परिपूर्ण हैं।
O Lalita, You are the bestower of all good fortune. You are the giver of happiness and are adorned with compassion.
अर्थ: आप आनंद, सुख और संपत्ति प्रदान करती हैं। आप सभी भयानक कष्टों को हर लेती हैं।
You bestow joy, happiness, and wealth. You remove all terrible sufferings.
अर्थ: जो भक्त सच्चे मन से आपका ध्यान करता है, वह तत्काल अपनी समस्त मनोकामनाएँ पूर्ण पाता है।
The devotee who meditates upon You with a sincere heart immediately attains all their desired aspirations.
अर्थ: हे माँ, आप ही धन-धान्य प्रदायिनी लक्ष्मी हैं, आप ही दुष्टों का संहार करने वाली दुर्गा हैं और आप ही महाकाल की शक्ति काली हैं। आप ही ज्ञान की देवी शारदा (सरस्वती) हैं और आप ही चक्र-कपाली (चक्रों को धारण करने वाली और कपालों की माला पहनने वाली) भी हैं।
O Mother, You are Lakshmi, the bestower of wealth; You are Durga, the vanquisher of evil; and You are Kali, the formidable power of Mahakala. You are also Sharada (Saraswati), the goddess of knowledge, and Chakrakapali, adorned with chakras and a garland of skulls.
अर्थ: मूलाधार चक्र में निवास करने वाली माँ की जय हो! सहस्रार चक्र तक गमन करने वाली माँ की जय हो!
Victory to the Mother who resides in the Muladhara chakra! Victory to the Mother who ascends to the Sahasrara chakra!
अर्थ: आप ही हैं जो षट्चक्रों (मूलाधार से आज्ञा तक) को भेदकर कुण्डलिनी शक्ति को जागृत करती हैं और आप ही समस्त प्राणियों की रक्षा करती हैं।
You are the one who pierces the six chakras (from Muladhara to Ajna), awakening the Kundalini Shakti, and You are the protector of all beings.
अर्थ: चाहे योगी हो या भोगी, क्रोधी हो या कामी—सभी प्रकार के जीव आपके ही सेवक और अनुयायी हैं।
Whether a yogi or an enjoyer, an angry person or one driven by desire—all types of beings are Your servants and followers.
अर्थ: हे माँ, आप सभी जीवों को भवसागर से पार लगाती हैं और सब पर अपनी अहैतुकी कृपा बरसाती हैं।
O Mother, you ferry all beings across the ocean of worldly existence and shower your unconditional compassion upon everyone.
अर्थ: आप हेमावती, उमा और ब्रह्माणी के रूप में पूजित हैं; आपने दुष्ट भण्डासुर का हृदय विदीर्ण कर उसका संहार किया।
You are revered as Hemavati, Uma, and Brahmani; you tore apart the heart of the wicked Bhandasura and annihilated him.
अर्थ: आप सभी विपत्तियों को हरने वाली और समस्त सृष्टि का आधार हैं; आपने कुटिल और गलत मार्ग पर चलने वालों को भी तार दिया।
You are the remover of all misfortunes and the support of the entire creation; you have redeemed even the crooked and those who tread the wrong path.
अर्थ: हे चन्द्रमा को धारण करने वाली, नैमिषारण्य में निवास करने वाली ललिता माँ, आप कृपा करें और हमारे अधर्म तथा पापों का नाश करें।
O Mother Lalita, who bears the moon and resides in Naimisharanya, please bestow your grace and destroy our unrighteousness and sins.
अर्थ: हे माँ, अपने भक्त जनों को अपने दिव्य दर्शन प्रदान करें और उनके सभी संदेहों तथा भयों को शीघ्रता से मिटा दें।
O Mother, grant your divine vision (darshan) to your devotees and swiftly dispel all their doubts and fears.
अर्थ: जो भी भक्त श्रद्धापूर्वक इस श्री ललिता चालीसा का पाठ करता है, वह परम सुख और आनंद का स्वामी बन जाता है
Whoever devoutly recites this Shri Lalita Chalisa becomes the master of supreme happiness and bliss.
अर्थ: जिस किसी भक्त पर कोई भी संकट या विपत्ति आती है, यदि वह इस चालीसा का पाठ करता है, तो उसके सभी संकट दूर हो जाते हैं।
Should any devotee face a crisis or calamity, if they recite this Chalisa, all their troubles are dispelled.
अर्थ: जो भक्त एकाग्रचित्त होकर और पूर्ण ध्यान लगाकर इस चालीसा का इक्कीस बार पाठ करता है, उसके सभी मनोरथ और इच्छाएँ पूर्ण हो जाती हैं।
The devotee who recites this Chalisa twenty-one times with complete focus and meditation has all their desires and wishes fulfilled.
अर्थ: जिन दंपत्तियों को संतान सुख प्राप्त नहीं हुआ है, उन्हें संतान की प्राप्ति होती है, और जो निर्धन हैं, वे धनवान बनकर माँ के गुणों का गान करते हैं।
Childless couples attain the joy of progeny, and the impoverished become wealthy, singing the praises of the Mother.
अर्थ: जो कोई भी भक्त इस विधि से, अर्थात् श्रद्धा और एकाग्रता के साथ, चालीसा का पाठ करता है, वह सभी प्रकार के दुखों और सांसारिक बंधनों से मुक्त हो जाता है और परम सुख को प्राप्त करता है।
Whoever recites the Chalisa in this manner, meaning with faith and concentration, is freed from all kinds of sorrows and worldly bondages, attaining supreme happiness.
अर्थ: जितेंद्र चंद्र भारतीय कहते हैं कि जो इस चालीसा का पाठ करते हैं, वे निश्चित रूप से परम सुख को प्राप्त करते हैं।
Jitendra Chandra Bharati states that those who recite this Chalisa certainly attain supreme happiness.
अर्थ: इसे (चालीसा पाठ को) सबसे सरल और छोटा उपाय समझो। इसके द्वारा तुम्हारे मन में जो भी संकल्प है, वह अवश्य सिद्ध हो जाता है।
Know this (recitation of Chalisa) as the simplest and most accessible means. Through it, whatever resolve you hold in your heart will surely be fulfilled.
अर्थ: माँ ललिता स्वयं भक्त के हृदय में निवास करती हैं, और यह ललिता चालीसा सभी प्रकार की सिद्धियाँ प्रदान करती है।
Mother Lalita herself resides in the devotee's heart, and this Lalita Chalisa bestows all kinds of spiritual accomplishments (siddhis).
अर्थ: हे माँ ललिता, अब मुझ पर अपनी कृपा बरसाओ और मेरे सभी कार्यों को सफल बनाओ।
O Mother Lalita, now shower your grace upon me and make all my endeavors successful.
