अलख निरंजन आप हैं, निरगुण सगुण हमेश।
नाना विधि अवतार धर, हरते जगत कलेश॥

१. गंगाराम देव हितकारी। वैश्य वंश प्रकटे अवतारी॥
२. पूर्वजन्म फल अमित रहेऊ। धन्य-धन्य पितु मातु भयेउ॥
३. उत्तम कुल उत्तम सतसंगा। पावन नाम राम अरू गंगा॥
४. बाबा नाम परम हितकारी। सत सत वर्ष सुमंगलकारी॥
५. बीतहिं जन्म देह सुध नाहीं। तपत तपत पुनि भयेऊ गुसाई॥
६. जो जन बाबा में चित लावा। तेहिं परताप अमर पद पावा॥
७. नगर झुंझनूं धाम तिहारो। शरणागत के संकट टारो॥
८. धरम हेतु सब सुख बिसराये। दीन हीन लखि हृदय लगाये॥
९. एहि विधि चालीस वर्ष बिताये। अन्त देह तजि देव कहाये॥
१०. देवलोक भई कंचन काया। तब जनहित संदेश पठाया॥
११. निज कुल जन को स्वप्न दिखावा। भावी करम जतन बतलावा॥
१२. आपन सुत को दर्शन दीन्हों। धरम हेतु सब कारज कीन्हों॥
१३. नभ वाणी जब हुई निशा में। प्रकट भई छवि पूर्व दिशा में॥
१४. ब्रह्मा विष्णु शिव सहित गणेशा। जिमि जनहित प्रकटेउ सब ईशा॥
१५. चमत्कार एहि भाँति दिखाया। अन्तरध्यान भई सब माया॥
१६. सत्य वचन सुनि करहिं विचारा। मन महँ गंगाराम पुकारा॥
१७. जो जन करई मनौती मन में। बाबा पीर हरहिं पल छन में॥
१८. ज्यों निज रूप दिखावहिं सांचा। त्यों त्यों भक्तवृन्द तेहिं जांचा॥
१९. उच्च मनोरथ शुचि आचारी। राम नाम के अटल पुजारी॥
२०. जो नित गंगाराम पुकारे। बाबा दुख से ताहिं उबारे॥
२१. बाबा में जिन्ह चित्त लगावा। ते नर लोक सकल सुख पावा॥
२२. परहित बसहिं जाहिं मन मांही। बाबा बसहिं ताहिं तन मांही॥
२३. धरहिं ध्यान रावरो मन में। सुखसंतोष लहै न मन में॥
२४. धर्म वृक्ष जेही तन मन सींचा। पार ब्रह्म तेहि निज में खींचा॥
२५. गंगाराम नाम जो गावे। लहि बैकुंठ परम पद पावे॥
२६. बाबा पीर हरहिं सब भाँति। जो सुमरे निश्छल दिन राती॥
२७. दीन बन्धु दीनन हितकारी। हरौ पाप हम शरण तिहारी॥
२८. पंचदेव तुम पूर्ण प्रकाशा। सदा करो संतन मँह बासा॥
२९. तारण तरण गंग का पानी। गंगाराम उभय सुनिशानी॥
३०. कृपासिंधु तुम हो सुखसागर। सफल मनोरथ करहु कृपाकर॥
३१. झुंझनूं नगर बड़ा बड़ भागी। जहँ जन्में बाबा अनुरागी॥
३२. पूरन ब्रह्म सकल घटवासी। गंगाराम अमर अविनाशी॥
३३. ब्रह्म रूप देव अति भोला। कानन कुण्डल मुकुट अमोला॥
३४. नित्यानन्द तेज सुख रासी। हरहु निशातन करहु प्रकासी॥

अर्थ: आप अलख (अदृश्य), निरंजन (निर्मल) हैं, और सदा निर्गुण (गुणरहित) तथा सगुण (गुणसहित) दोनों रूपों में विद्यमान हैं।
You are the Unseen (Alakh), the Pure (Niranjan), and eternally present in both the formless (Nirgun) and manifest (Sagun) aspects.
अर्थ: आप अनेक प्रकार के अवतार धारण करके संसार के दुखों को हरते हैं।
Assuming various forms and incarnations, You remove the sorrows and afflictions of the world.
अर्थ: हे बाबा गंगाराम जी, आप साक्षात् भगवान विष्णु के अवतार हुए हैं।
O Baba Gangaram Ji, You are indeed an incarnation of Lord Vishnu Himself.
अर्थ: आपके चमत्कारों को देखकर चारों ओर आपकी जय-जयकार गूँज उठी है।
Witnessing Your miracles, shouts of victory and praise have resonated everywhere.
अर्थ: हे हितकारी देव गंगाराम, आप वैश्य वंश में अवतारी रूप में प्रकट हुए हैं।
O benevolent Lord Gangaram, You manifested as an incarnation in the Vaishya lineage.
अर्थ: उनके पूर्वजन्मों के पुण्यकर्मों का फल असीमित था, जिसके कारण उनके माता-पिता धन्य-धन्य हो गए, अत्यंत सौभाग्यशाली कहलाए।
The fruits of his past lives' merits were boundless, due to which his father and mother became supremely blessed and exceedingly fortunate.
अर्थ: उन्हें उत्तम कुल में जन्म मिला और उत्तम सत्संग की प्राप्ति हुई। उनका पावन नाम 'राम' और 'गंगा' के समान पवित्र है।
He was born into a noble lineage and attained excellent holy company. His sacred name is as pure as 'Ram' and 'Ganga'.
अर्थ: बाबा का नाम परम कल्याणकारी है, जो सैकड़ों-सैकड़ों वर्षों तक अत्यंत शुभ और मंगलकारी प्रभाव प्रदान करता है।
The name of Baba is supremely beneficial, bestowing great auspiciousness and welfare for hundreds and hundreds of years.
अर्थ: अनेक जन्म बीत गए, उन्हें अपने देह की सुध नहीं रही। घोर तपस्या और कष्ट सहते हुए वे अंततः गुसाईं (स्वामी/गुरु) बने।
Many lives passed, during which he remained oblivious to his physical body. Through intense penance and enduring hardships, he eventually became a Gusai (Master/Guru).
अर्थ: जो भी व्यक्ति बाबा में अपना चित्त (मन) लगाता है, वह उनकी कृपा से अमर पद (मोक्ष) को प्राप्त कर लेता है।
Whoever fixes their mind (consciousness) upon Baba, by his grace, attains the immortal state (liberation).
अर्थ: हे बाबा गंगाराम जी, झुंझुनूं नगर आपका पवित्र धाम है। आप अपनी शरण में आए भक्तों के सभी संकटों को दूर करते हैं।
O Baba Gangaram Ji, Jhunjhunu city is your sacred abode. You remove all troubles of devotees who seek your refuge.
अर्थ: धर्म की स्थापना और रक्षा के लिए आपने सभी सांसारिक सुखों को त्याग दिया। दीन-हीन और असहाय लोगों को देखकर आपने उन्हें अपने हृदय से लगाया, उनका उद्धार किया।
For the sake of Dharma (righteousness), you renounced all worldly pleasures. Seeing the poor and helpless, you embraced them with your heart, uplifting them.
अर्थ: इस प्रकार आपने चालीस वर्ष तक धर्म और सेवा में जीवन व्यतीत किया। अंत में शरीर का त्याग कर आप देवत्व को प्राप्त हुए और देव कहलाए।
In this manner, you spent forty years in Dharma and service. Finally, renouncing your physical body, you attained divinity and were called a deity.
अर्थ: देवलोक में आपकी काया स्वर्ण के समान दिव्य और तेजस्वी हो गई। तब आपने लोक कल्याण के लिए संदेश भेजे।
In the divine realm, your body became golden, divine, and radiant. Then, for the welfare of humanity, you sent messages.
अर्थ: आपने अपने कुल के लोगों को स्वप्न में दर्शन दिए। और उन्हें भविष्य के कर्मों और प्रयासों के बारे में मार्गदर्शन दिया।
You appeared in dreams to your family members. And guided them about future actions and endeavors.
अर्थ: आपने अपने पुत्र को दर्शन दिए। धर्म की स्थापना हेतु सभी कार्य किए।
You granted divine vision (darshan) to your own son. You performed all deeds for the sake of Dharma (righteousness).
अर्थ: जब रात्रि में आकाशवाणी हुई, तब आपकी छवि पूर्व दिशा में प्रकट हुई।
When a celestial voice (Akashvani) was heard in the night, your divine form appeared in the eastern direction.
अर्थ: जैसे ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, शिव और गणेश सहित सभी ईश्वर जनहित के लिए प्रकट होते हैं, वैसे ही आप भी प्रकट हुए।
Just as Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and Ganesha, along with all other deities, manifest for the welfare of humanity, so too did you appear.
अर्थ: आपने इसी प्रकार अनेक चमत्कार दिखाए और सारी माया (भ्रम) को अंतर्ध्यान कर दिया।
In this manner, you displayed many miracles, and all illusion (Maya) disappeared.
अर्थ: सत्य वचनों को सुनकर विचार करें और मन में गंगाराम का नाम पुकारें।
Listen to the words of truth, reflect upon them, and call out the name of Gangaram in your heart.
अर्थ: जो भी भक्त अपने मन में बाबा से कोई मनौती करता है, बाबा उसकी पीड़ा को पल भर में हर लेते हैं।
Whosoever devotee makes a vow or prayer in their heart, Baba removes their suffering in an instant.
अर्थ: जैसे-जैसे बाबा अपना सच्चा स्वरूप प्रकट करते हैं, वैसे-वैसे भक्तगण उनकी और अधिक खोज करते हैं और उनके प्रति आकर्षित होते हैं।
As Baba reveals His true form, so do the devotees seek Him out more and more, drawn to His essence.
अर्थ: बाबा गंगाराम जी उच्च मनोरथों वाले, पवित्र आचरण वाले और श्री राम नाम के अटल पुजारी हैं।
Baba Gangaram Ji is one with noble aspirations, pure conduct, and an unwavering worshipper of the name of Shri Ram.
अर्थ: जो नित्य बाबा गंगाराम का नाम पुकारता है, बाबा उसे सभी दुखों से उबार लेते हैं।
Whoever daily invokes the name of Baba Gangaram, Baba delivers them from all sorrows.
अर्थ: जिन मनुष्यों ने बाबा में अपना चित्त लगाया है, उन्हें इस लोक में सभी प्रकार के सुख प्राप्त होते हैं।
Those individuals who have fixed their minds on Baba attain all kinds of happiness in this world.
अर्थ: जिनके मन में दूसरों का हित निवास करता है, बाबा (गंगाराम जी) स्वयं उनके शरीर में निवास करते हैं।
In whose heart the welfare of others resides, Baba (Gangaram Ji) Himself dwells within their body.
अर्थ: जो आपके ध्यान को अपने मन में धारण करते हैं, उनके मन में सुख और संतोष की कमी नहीं रहती (अर्थात वे सुख-संतोष प्राप्त करते हैं)।
Those who hold your meditation in their mind, their hearts do not lack happiness and contentment (meaning they attain happiness and contentment).
अर्थ: जिसने अपने तन और मन से धर्म रूपी वृक्ष को सींचा है, परब्रह्म (परमात्मा) उसे अपनी ओर खींच लेते हैं।
One who has nurtured the tree of righteousness with their body and mind, the Supreme Brahman (God) draws them towards Himself.
अर्थ: जो गंगाराम नाम का गान करता है, वह वैकुंठ (भगवान का धाम) और परम पद (मोक्ष) को प्राप्त करता है।
One who chants the name of Gangaram attains Vaikuntha (the abode of God) and the supreme state (liberation).
अर्थ: बाबा (गंगाराम जी) सभी प्रकार की पीड़ाओं को हर लेते हैं, जो उन्हें दिन-रात निश्छल भाव से स्मरण करता है।
Baba (Gangaram Ji) removes all kinds of suffering for those who remember Him sincerely day and night.
अर्थ: हे दीनों के बंधु, दीनों का हित करने वाले! हमारे पापों को हर लीजिए, हम आपकी शरण में हैं।
O friend of the humble, benefactor of the poor! Please remove our sins, for we have taken refuge in You.
अर्थ: हे पंचदेव स्वरूप, आप पूर्ण प्रकाशमान हैं। आप सदा संतों के हृदय में निवास करते हैं।
O embodiment of the five deities, You are the complete effulgence. You always reside in the hearts of saints.
अर्थ: जैसे गंगा का जल तारने वाला है, वैसे ही गंगाराम जी दोनों लोकों में मुक्ति प्रदान करने वाले हैं, यह सुनिश्चित है।
Just as the water of the Ganga grants salvation, so too does Gangaram Ji assure liberation in both this world and the next.
अर्थ: आप कृपा के सागर हैं, सुखों के महासागर हैं। कृपा करके हमारे मनोरथों को सफल कीजिए।
You are an ocean of grace, a sea of happiness. Graciously fulfill all our desires.
अर्थ: झुंझुनूं नगर अत्यंत भाग्यशाली है, जहाँ प्रेममय बाबा गंगाराम जी ने जन्म लिया।
The town of Jhunjhunu is exceedingly fortunate, for it is there that the beloved Baba Gangaram was born.
अर्थ: आप पूर्ण ब्रह्म हैं, सभी प्राणियों में निवास करने वाले हैं। हे गंगाराम, आप अमर और अविनाशी हैं।
You are the complete Brahman, residing in all beings. O Gangaram, you are immortal and imperishable.
अर्थ: आप ब्रह्म स्वरूप, अत्यंत भोले देव हैं। आपके कानों में कुण्डल और सिर पर अमूल्य मुकुट सुशोभित है।
You are the embodiment of Brahman, a most innocent and simple deity. Your ears are adorned with earrings, and your head with a priceless crown.
अर्थ: आप नित्य आनंद और तेज के पुंज हैं, सुखों की राशि हैं। आप अज्ञान रूपी अंधकार को हरकर ज्ञान का प्रकाश फैलाते हैं।
You are the embodiment of eternal bliss and radiance, a treasure trove of happiness. You dispel the darkness of ignorance and spread the light of knowledge.
अर्थ: गंगा दशहरा के पावन अवसर पर मेला लगता है। झुंझुनूं नगर में यह अत्यंत शुभ समय होता है।
On the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, a fair is held. This is a very propitious time in the town of Jhunjhunu.
अर्थ: जो मनुष्य आपका कीर्तन करते हैं, आपकी छवि को देखकर उनके मन में अपार हर्ष भर जाता है।
Those who chant your glories, their hearts are filled with immense joy upon beholding your divine form.
अर्थ: प्रातःकाल आपका नाम लेने से चौरासी लाख योनियों के बंधन से मुक्ति मिल जाती है।
By taking your name in the morning, one is liberated from the cycle of eighty-four lakh births and deaths.
अर्थ: आपका पंचदेव मंदिर अत्यंत विख्यात है, जहाँ आपके दर्शनों के लिए भक्तों का तांता लगा रहता है।
Your Panchdev temple is very famous, where devotees throng for your darshan (sacred sight).
अर्थ: श्री गंगाराम नाम की जय हो, जो भवसागर से तारने वाला और परमधाम तक पहुँचाने वाला है।
Victory to the name of Shri Gangaram, who liberates from the ocean of worldly existence and leads to the supreme abode.
अर्थ: 'महावीर' ने पवित्र ध्यान धारण कर यह सुंदर गंगाराम चालीसा की रचना की है।
'Mahaveer', by meditating purely, has composed this beautiful Gangaram Chalisa.
अर्थ: जो कोई भी इस कीर्तन, भजन और सुंदर नाम को प्रेम से सुनता या सुनाता है।
Whoever listens to or recites this kirtan, bhajan, and beautiful name with love.
अर्थ: हे बाबा गंगाराम, आप भक्तों के हृदय की समस्त इच्छाओं और कामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाले हैं।
O Baba Gangaram, you are the one who fulfills all the desires and aspirations of the devotees' hearts.
